| My tour of New York's Revolutionary War sites was completely enjoyable. Karen, the tour leader, was both knowledgeable and entertaining. She made the past filter through the modern hubhub that is a Saturday in Manhattan. I have toured Civil War and Revolutionary battlefields with some of the best guides in the nation, and I would rate this tour up with any of those. You will completely enjoy the experience. | ||||||

| We met our guide at City Hall Park entrance just as the directions described. She was excited and enthusiastic as we were. The walk as easy and the stories were great! You could tell that she knew her subject and we had done some research and we knew she knew her stuff. Our guide was very educational and funny, which made it very enjoyable, one of the best tours we've ever done. We are not in the greatest of shape, but this walk was not difficult by any means. I've already highly recommended it to some friends that well be in Manhatthan for the next week. Thank you! | ||||||

| We found this tour initially mentioned in a NY Times article, though not this specific organization. I read McCullogh's '1776' and the tour guide was familiar with the text. We had excellent discussions about Howe, Washington, Hamilton and other people mentioned in the book. The events leading up to the revolution in New York were also discussed. It was truly interesting and informative, particularly for us, as we are History Enthusiasts. The guide was extremely well-informed and brought reprints from period newspapers and other documents which made the experience more meaningful. It is difficult to imagine NYC at that time, as it is so different today -so built up. I highly recommend it. | ||||||

| My husband and I were the only people who showed up for the walk. It was in the middle of the week in the off-season, but our tour went on as scheduled and we were treated to a "private" tour. I have been recommending the tour to everyone who is interested because it was enjoyable and informative. Most people here on the West Coast do not know about New York's Revolutionary Era history. And, the tour was a great way to orientate yourself to New York City. Highly recommended! | ||||||

| Our tour guide provided us with a thoughtful and complete review of New York's colonial history. She was enthusiastic and engaged us in the tour as well as pointed out modern day connections to history throughout the city. It was a wonderful way to spend a morning and learn more about our nations history. | ||||||

| Opened up an amazing insight into a pivotal time in US history. Guide (think it was Karen) was a total enthusiast and amazingly well informed. Her understanding of the significance of the background as well as the events themselves added enormously to the quality of the occassion. | ||||||

| I wanted a different but interesting tour of Manhattan and this was it. The tour was very interesting and informative. The tour guide was enthusiastic and very friendly. I liked the idea a small group on a walking tour, everyone could hear the guide clearly. The tour guide had visual aids and provided very interesting facts and information about Manhattan in the Revolutionary times. The guide really made the historical facts interesting and we really learned alot in just a short amount of time -almost 3 hrs but it sure didn't feel like it . The walking wasn't hard, perfect pace and saw interesting sights I would have missed if on my own. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in Manhattan and learning about the history. I can't wait to take the civil war tour and I hope more tours are added. This was a perfect, informative walking tour. | ||||||

I have already told a number of friends about this delightful adventure! Our guide for the tour was fabulous and very, very informative! I am going to recommend this walk to all friends planning to visit NYC. It was one of the highlights of our time in the Big Apple. Lawana Conry Plano, Texas | ||||||

| Although we grew up in the New York City area and have been to Manhattan many, many times, this tour really provided a new prespective. Karen's enthusiastic story telling and obvious love of history allowed us to see and feel lower Manhattan as it was in the mid 1800's. The architecture of the period remains in pieces for the trained eye to see...and Karen is good at pointing out what remains and filling in the gaps of what has not survived. Karen's descriptions and stories of the notable people of the time transport you back to that time. This was a most enjoyable 2 1/2 hours. | ||||||

| I very much enjoyed the tour. I appreciated the enthusiasm and knowledge our tour guide possessed and her willingness to share. It was clear she was very enthused about the history of Manhattan in this era. Frankly, the tour set the stage for tour of Manhattan during the week...we were able to relate the different sites we saw to much of the information she shared with us on the tour. It was the highlight of the trip in a city of highlights. I'll take the Civil War tour on the next trip back. Thanks. Bob | ||||||

| Great tour with an awesome guide. I took the tour with my 28 year old daughter. Karen, our tour guide, was full of information that was continually interesting and kept our rapt attention for the entire length of the tour! She gave us a tour of the city that we would have never experienced on our own! Definitely recommended - if we had the time we probably would have taken the Civil War Tour also! | ||||||
