| What a wonderful way to spend the 4th of July weekend than walking the actual streets and learning the history that played such an important role in the birth of our nation. Our guide was incredible, she made her stories come alive. Probably one of the best walking tours I’ve taken, and living in the Nation’s capital, I can honestly say I’ve been on a few. A must-do while in NYC. | ||||||

| We went on the revolutionary era walking tour on July 4th with a group ranging in age from 12 to 85. Everyone loved it! The walking was not too strenuous, with many opportunities to rest for a few minutes at the the tour stops. Our very friendly tour leader was a delightful fountain of knowledge. Her descriptions and the photographs she brought really made the history come alive. I would love to take the other tours on future trips to NY. I have nothing but high praise. | ||||||

| This was a most fascinating tour conducted by a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. Not only did we see the sights and experience the sounds of New York but we learned many interesting facts about the revolutionary era. My wife and I are native New Yorkers, raised in Queens, who attended High School in Manhattan. But our tour guide had many stories to tell us that we did not know. She answered all our questions and brought history to life. We would recommend this tour most highly. | ||||||

| I really enjoyed the recent tour I took of Revolutionary New York. The tour guide, Karen, was a bevy of knowledge and enthusiasm. Very well informed and proud to be an American and a New-Yorker. I would recommend this tour to everyone. Laura E. Toronto, Canada | ||||||

| I took my 16 yr old son on this tour-it is fabulous! We felt like we were really there during the revolution-I really have not spent a lot of time downtown and even though I am a native NYer, I did not know of all the history! I highly recommend this tour, as the tour guide is AWESOME! : entertaining, knowledgeable, and has quite obviously done the research! so much so that it was really easy to imagine and be there during the Revolution-wish my history teachers were that good when I was in school. Great stories-the time went by quicker than I would have liked-my son and I plan to take the Civil War tour next! Enjoy! | ||||||

| My group consisted of 4 adults, including a young college student minoring in history. We joined 5 other adults for our walking tour with Karen, our extremely pleasant and knowledgeable tour guide. Karen is obviously well educated in American history, yet she shared her knowledge in a very personable and easily understood style. She communicated clearly, and without the need of a script or notes. The walk itself was not strenous and we saw many interesting NY landmarks. All 4 of us commented afterwards that it was a highlight of our trip, and we would highly recommend it to others. | ||||||

| This is a fantastic tour -- it allowed us to learn historical information that we had never known before. Our tour guide was unbelievably educated about the topic and has trained herself so thoroughly. Her antecdotes made the Revolutionary era come alive to us. Perfect group size with 9 guests. We would highly recommend this tour and would definitely use Patriot Tours again. | ||||||

| My sister and I, who are in our mid fifties and early sixties, debated whether or not we could physically endure the walking involved in this tour. After careful consideration we decided to give it a try thinking we could always drop out if it proved too much for us. We were both very glad that we took the chance. Our group guide was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and interesting. She enlivened the historical facts with stories of real humans who either struggled and yearned for independence or struggled to support the system and crown they loved. We on the other hand had our own struggles. We had been in New York for three days prior to your tour and had done a great deal of sightseeing so were already very tired. Your web site cautioned to arrive on time or the tour guide would start the tour without us. We were a few minutes early for the tour. However, our tour guide waited about thirty minutes for another person who had signed up for the tour just that morning. We had booked our tickets weeks in advance. The 30 minutes we stood waiting on this person made it very difficult for us to complete the tour. We did complete it but it was a struggle and we did not enjoy it as much as we could have. The guide even made a comment that this person was behaving in a selfish way to expect everyone to wait for her but she waited nevertheless. We would have enjoyed the tour much more if we had been able to leave on time and not stand around sapping our already limited strength. | ||||||

| This is my second time taking this tour, and I enjoyed it as much as the first. The guide is quite learned and so informative without losing your interest. If you like American history and the part NYC played in it, then you will really enjoy this tour. | ||||||

| Our tour guide was well informed. She gave us a feel for the time period and what was going in New York and how New York fit in with what was going on in other colonies. She gave us information starting with the Dutch and the turn over to British. She also told of us stories of individuals, the roles they played and how they impacted the rest of the colonies. She also gave us suggestions on where we could go for more information and also suggested some of the places where we could go back and spend more time. We enjoyed this tour so much we look forward to go on the Civil War Tour. | ||||||
