| Incredible amount of knowledge shared in a very relaxed manner. Want to research so much of what I'd heard to learn more. Such interesting and fun facts I'd never have known! | ||||||

| I am a middle school history teacher and thoroughly enjoyed our Revolutionary War walking tour. Our guide was very well prepared and knowledgeable. I learned so much about New York's role during the revolutionary period. My daughter and sister in law also commented on our guide's enthusiasm and ability to hold their attention despite the distractions of weather and general city commotion. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience. | ||||||

| Our guide was knowledgable and told us about New York's role in the Civil War as well as other information that came up as we were walking. It was well worth the money and the time. | ||||||

| It's such a joy to witness someone as passionate about history as Karen. Also, she is quite knowledgeable of all the various factors which lead to the War Between the States. This is most refreshing to hear as the current simplistic version equates South with bad and North with good. Her tour is quite a bit more invigorating than the usual two hours spent combing a museum. | ||||||

| Since it was just two of us on this tour, our guide was most amenable to being flexible and varying the regular tour of the area to incorporate interesting architecture which was our particular interest. The guide was able to answer in-depth questions posed by us. She had a relaxed and friendly manner. The pace of the tour was appropriate to our ages and we had time to take photos along the route. | ||||||

| I could not believe how much History that our tour guide Karen knew. I advise every one who goes to New York to take this tour. I am an American History teacher and I was amazed at how much I learned. | ||||||

| Our tour was one of the highlights of my first trip to New York City. It was well planned, and very interesting. Our guide made the revolutionary history come alive. It gave us a very different view of a very busy and modern city, and allowed us the time to appreciate the beauty of historical Manhattan. I would highly recommend this walking tour and in fact already have. | ||||||

| A very knowledgeable guide made our tour extremely informative. Personalized to our interests and knowledge on the topic as well. Our guide was very pleasant and made it interesting despite sprinkles of rain. We kept moving and saw a great deal. Well worth it. | ||||||

Highlight of our trip

| We did the things tourists usually do in NY - Broadway show, museums, restaurants - but our Revolutionary Era Walking Tour was easily the highlight of the trip. Beautiful weather and a small turnout on Memorial Day - our group of 3 was it - contributed to the experience, but it was mostly due our guide, Karen. She was friendly, entertaining, enthusiastic, and possessed a deep knowledge of the subject matter. | ||||||

| Both my son (25 and working in NYC) and I (his visiting mom) really enjoyed this tour. Karen brought alive Lower Manhattan during the Revolutionary War and the years not only leading up to it, but the years of Dutch settlement as well. Now I know that Water Street was so named because it was once a shore line street and Pearl Street got it's name because oyster shells were harvested along its shore. And Wall Street ... well, you can guess. Go take the tour and enjoy! | ||||||

| We saw 3 Broadway shows and ate at 3 fine restaurants, but our tour is what we continue to talk about! It was fascinating, fun and gave us such great information. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and we are already looking forward to next year to go on the Civil War tour! | ||||||

Excellent Tour Guide - Interesting History

| Our tour guide was excellent - very knowlegeable and engaging. I was a history major in college but must confess I did not know much about New York City's role during the American Revolution. The guide did an excellent job of describing the relevant events and players. If you liked David McCullough's "1776," you will like this tour. | ||||||
