| Mixed group of 10-from 20 something to 60 something and in between-from extremely kmowledgeable to not nearly as knowledgeable-a pleasure for all. Karen is a magnificent guide. She has in depth knowledge of well known and less known info-she has lots of anecdotes and clearly loves her subject and sharing info. She is extremely responsive to particular interests and queries of group members. Lots of areas of NY covered. Well planned and well executed. If you go, you will not be disappointed. | ||||||

| I had taken the Revolutionary walking tour last year and was glad I was in NYC to sign up for the civil war one. It was very interesting. The tour guide knows her history and you can tell she loves history. Took us to areas I never would have found on my own. Learned information I never knew before - how much NYC was connected with the civil war. I recommend it for anyone who is interested in history and interested in a different type of walking tour. | ||||||

| Most people do not appreciate how historical a city New York is. Most people that is who haven't gone on the Revolutionary Era Walking Tour. From Bowling Green Park to Fraunces Tavern to Saint Paul's Chapel, New York is utterly replete with remnants of a remarkable past. Add to this the fascinating and inspiring stories told so expertly by the incomparable Karen, our guide, of the people who populated these arenas during those precarious years prior to our Nation's birth, and you have the makings of a 2 and a half hour journey that can compete with the best that even modern N.Y. has to offer. Please discover this for yourself. You'll no longer be able to see the city or even the country in the same way again. | ||||||

| We would highly recommend this tour. It was fun, informative, and well presented. She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The only thing to be aware of is time. Our tour took 3 hours, though it was time well spent. Maybe our tour went long because we asked so many questions. | ||||||

| This tour was the best tour we had while on vacation in New York. It provided us with history that is sometimes glossed over or left out in history books. All we hear about is how Boston and Philadelphia played an important role in the revolution, but I had no idea the impact that New York had. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and provided an excellent experience. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone. | ||||||

| This tour was excellent. The pace was good, not too fast not too slow. Karen is so knowledgeable about her subject its amazing how she keeps all of the facts in her head. We knew nothing about this topic but came away with a much better understanding and information on the history which we didn't get from any other tour or brochure. We would recommend this for anyone who wants to know more about this period of American history. Not for children though its too indepth | ||||||

| I am an 8th grade history teacher in Florida and I went on the tour with my husband, and brother and sister-in law. We all had such a wonderful time. Our tour guide knew more information than I could have ever imagined. I brought so much knowledge with me back home that I can use in my classroom. Besides this being great for teachers, it was very interesting to see history that you would never knew existed in NYC. (The other 3 people I were with were not in education and they loved it!!!) The Before and Now pictures and descriptions were amazing and enlightening. It was fun to learn about things that the everyday person passing by would never know. Our guide did such a good job and she was very personable and enjoyable to be with. I highly recommend this tour to anyone with an interest in history and discovery. | ||||||

| The guide provided lots of historical facts about events during our Revolutionary era in New York. It has caused me to make many notes after the tour, and I'm following up by reading, in more detail, about the events and individuals from that time period. I'm looking forward to taking other tours during my subsequent visits to New York... | ||||||

| It was a very warm afternoon in Manhattan but my husband and I didn't let that interfere with this tour. He's a history buff; I'm a history novice. Our tourguide, Karen, was phenomenal! It was obvious she had done a lot of research of that era and New York City. She had so many stories and pictures and her passion for the history was evident in the tour she conducted. I was riveted! We had a great group of 14 people from all over and yes, it was hot, but there are sidewalk stands around the area where you can purchase water. We walked from City Hall down to Battery Park and she gave us so much fascinating information about the area, the buildings, the history. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys walking the city (it was not physically challenging, a nice pace) and even if you think you are not a history buff, you will become one because of this tour. It was fantastic! And well worth the price! It was hard to believe that over two hours had passed because of how interesting Karen made this tour. Don't pass this up! | ||||||

| Excellent tour of Manhattan during the Revolutionary War period. The guide was very informative with details about the locations and events that built up during the war. Not to mention many unknown people and facts surounding the events before the war began. A must for American History buffs or time travelers. Very well done, you will enjoy an excellent learning experience. Thank You Again. | ||||||
