| This tour really opened to my eyes to some surprising historical insights as to what happened right in my neighborhood back in the Revolutionary War times. Locals should really take the time to learn of out area's historical signifigance. | ||||||

| My husband and I loved this tour. We learned so much about NYC and our revolutionary war history. We saw so many treasures that we would never have seen on our own and she really brought everything to life with stories about fascinating individuals and historical landmarks. We would recommend this to anyone. Our intrepid tour guide didn't short us a bit despite our being in the midst of a mild nor'easter! | ||||||

| A great guide can make anything interesting. Karen was truly great, and the subject matter is highly interesting as well. So the tour was truly memorable! The tour covers New York from its founding through the birth of the nation. New York played such an important role! Fascinating stuff to be sure. I recommend listen to McCollough's audiobook "1776" before this tour to give additional context. Enjoy! | ||||||

She also had pertinent sketches of what the area looked like during that period, where we were standing. The walk was the perfect length as was the time. | ||||||

| I had taken the Revolutionary walking tour last year and was glad I was in NYC to sign up for the civil war one. It was very interesting. The tour guide knows her history and you can tell she loves history. Took us to areas I never would have found on my own. Learned information I never knew before - how much NYC was connected with the civil war. I recommend it for anyone who is interested in history and interested in a different type of walking tour. | ||||||

| We would highly recommend this tour. It was fun, informative, and well presented. She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The only thing to be aware of is time. Our tour took 3 hours, though it was time well spent. Maybe our tour went long because we asked so many questions. | ||||||

| This tour was excellent. The pace was good, not too fast not too slow. Karen is so knowledgeable about her subject its amazing how she keeps all of the facts in her head. We knew nothing about this topic but came away with a much better understanding and information on the history which we didn't get from any other tour or brochure. We would recommend this for anyone who wants to know more about this period of American history. Not for children though its too indepth | ||||||

| The tour was great from the beginning. The guide holds the tour size to 15 participants that makes it possible to interact and in fact actually hear the tour guide. The other tour (Big Onion I believe) that was leaving at the same time must have had over 40 people in it and was basically a mob. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, personable and easy to understand. The tour itself was well organized and very informative. We learned numerous facts that we did not know about the Revolutionary War especially about New York's involvement. The tour stayed on schedule and ended right on time. | I enjoyed this waliking tour and I am looking forward to the Civil War walking tour in the future. Karen is very plesent and knowledgable on the subject. I would recommend this tour to all those interested in New York and American history. This walk will provide a better appreciation of New York and its role in the American Revolution. | ||||||

| I very much enjoyed the tour. I appreciated the enthusiasm and knowledge our tour guide possessed and her willingness to share. It was clear she was very enthused about the history of Manhattan in this era. Frankly, the tour set the stage for tour of Manhattan during the week...we were able to relate the different sites we saw to much of the information she shared with us on the tour. It was the highlight of the trip in a city of highlights. I'll take the Civil War tour on the next trip back. Thanks. Bob | ||||||
