I was extremely happy with this tour. My wife and I enjoyed a spring day in the city and greatly appreciated the tour guide's depiction of a time very difficult to comprehend in modern lower manhattan. To be fair, I love history and had a great time, while my wife is not such a history buff and didn't enjoy it as much. In short - it was completely as advertised and anyone with an appreciation for history will find it enjoyable.

My guide was the best, she had great history of New York and shared it with us.

The guide had enthusiasm about the subjects...good data & illustrations. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city whether you get into history or not. It's a great way to see the sites, learn & get exercise.

We very much enjoyed the Revolutionary War Walking Tour of lower Manhattan. Tour Guide Karen was very informative, and made history come alive. We're planning to take another Patriot tour on our next visit to the city. Karen's enthusiasm for New York in the Revolutionary War has inspired us to seek further reading on all the things she showed us on the walk.

This was my second time on the tour and Karen was even better than before. She constantly does more research and weaves each new finding back into her tour. I think the highest praise I can give is: I went back- and will go back again. It was my friend's first time. This is his review: I went into this tour unsure of what to expect. It was far more worthwhile than I could have imagined. I consider myself a history buff, (I have a BA in History) and I learned something new just about every minute of this trip! Karen has really immersed herself in this time period. She can talk intelligently about all the major and, more impressively, all the minor players of the American Revolutionary War era. I feel like taking the trip all over again after doing some more research so I can pick her very impressive brain! She was very responsive to questions, showing an ability to digress and keep everything relevant. Karen was fun and personable. She tailored the tour to the individual interests of the group while still moving forward. The best compliment I can give is that she pulls history from the dusty pages and makes it live and breathe. She makes 18th century New York City almost tangible. Whether you are a history-lover or not, I highly recommend this experience! (Also - she was kind enough to email more information to us after the tour. Really interesting documents from the time period.) Both of us: Karen- Thank you for a wonderful tour!

If you want to learn about the AM. REV. & NYC's role - this IS the tour for you - the presentation is engaging & informative - not only will you learn about the revolution, but other points related to NYC as well -- Highly Recommended !!!

We have taken tours in Chicago, Charleston and other places, but this was the best one we had. We would highly recommend this tour. Karen is a gifted story-teller.

Very informative tour with great on-site detail. The walking was great and not too much but enough to see the sights. The only thing I would recommend is whenever there is time for standing to try and find seats to sit down. Walking is much easier that standing. We all loved it and would go again.
