My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our Philly FoodsTour led by Christine. The neighborhood restaurants frequented by "locals" were much more fun to visit than fancy restaurants. The philly cheesesteak, tomato pie, chocolate covered pretzels, etc. were yummy. Our guide, Christine, was a Phila. native; and she provided vignettes and insights only a native could provide. Would highly recommend. |

This was a wonderful afternoon delight for me, my husband and 14 year old son. We all equally enjoyed it. It was a great way to sample Philly's famous dishes and learn about the city. I'm so glad I found this tour and highly recommend it. |

It was a very fulfilling journey. The best part was being able to walk off the calories in the process, making room for the next venue. Everything was really yummy. And the historical info was very enjoyable. |

My husband purchased this tour for myself and our 2 daughters (ages 12 and 22). I wasn't sure this was something they would enjoy, but we gave it a try. We met our guide, Judy, and knew from the start that it would be an enjoyable afternoon. Judy gave us lots of interesting fact, inside information about shops, restraurants and local "happy hour" haunts, as well as the history of the foods we were to sample. I had never really liked Philly Steaks, but the shop Judy took us to was the BEST! Yummy!!! The Tomato pie was good and we enjoyed the pretzels and other treats. We really enjoyed the afternoon and would highly recommend this tour for visitor to the area. |

We were looking for a day trip activity that would interest parents as well as young teenagers on a day off from school and work. The Philly Food Tour was a perfect fit! It was a mix of walking around Philly, learning a little of its history, and eating fantastic foods. The food portions were great and we were able to enjoy while sitting down in great settings. Our tour guide, Judy, was very informative and truly enjoyed sharing her knowledge of Philly with us! There were 18 people in our group, locals and out of towners, which was a fun combination. The tour kept the kids interested and they took home some info about the city. Overall, this tour is recommended! What a great day! |

It was a cold rainy day but our tour guide went above and beyond- she came prepared for us with bottles of water, ponchos, and umbrellas in a backpack. She was a 3rd generation Phili native and had all the charm and authentic accent to prove it. Fun visual aids (laminated to survive the weather!) were added to the talking, which included topics of folklore, city and food history, and culture. The food was amazing, starting with tomato pie, moving on to a pretzel, a phili cheesesteak with fries, and then desserts. Definitely filled us up for the day so we cancelled our fancy dinner reservation that night and just had a simple appetizer at a bar instead. The tour involved going up a flight of stairs so beware if you have mobility issues or strollers. We crossed streets safely at crosswalks and moved at a comfortably slow pace, stopping often to take notice of architectural features and quirks. It lasted exactly from 1:30-4:00 as promised, and it was a great way to fill up the day as a group of friends. Tip is expected at the end of the tour because your guide is not only your guide but also your waitress and bus boy. She did such a good job we were happy to tip! Definitely plan on doing more of these food tours next time we visit Phili! |
