Fun and Informative!

We took our tour with our 10yr old daughter. We had our concerns about a child on the tour but we were AMAZED! Our tour guide was FABULOUS about making sure our daughter understood everything. We got to see some great sights and a ton of history thrown in with the food info. We are already planning to book another tour in a few months! I would recommend this company and this tour to ANYONE!

We had a great tour, with some other locals and folks from NYC. Ryan was very knowledgeable about the food and also about the history of Philadelphia.

The Philly Food Tour was great. I live in philly and had some guests in town and this sounded like a different alternative to having me as their guide. Everyone in the group loved it, very fun and informative even for locals! Definitly recommend!

I really enjoyed my tour! I had Judy Beck as a tour guide and she did amazing. She relly knew her information about the city and she was very enthusiastic about it, which really made me interested in learning and hearing more about the city. My favorite place on the tour was Joe's Pizza, the tomato pie was amazing!!!

We took two 14 year olds on this tour for their birthday. We wanted something different and interesting and of course, really cool. The tour is exactly as described in the brochure. Very entertaining, lots of food. Our guide was Judy who has a passion for the City of Philadelphia. She offered alot of interesting information about the food, the locations and the city. Our group consisted of 10 people. Couple on a date, married couple from the south, 2 women who were given a gift and us with the teenagers. Great for everyone

Judy our tour guide was very informative about the Philadelphia area. Food was plenty, the only thing that could have been better was the Philly Cheese-steak. The Tomato Pie, Chocolate covered Pretzels and the dessert from the Flying Monkey, AWESOME!!!!!!!

Great Food/ Great Guide

Food provided was plentiful with the exception of the desserts which were quite small. However, there was enough food to hold us over for the rest of the day. Tour Guide was great pointing out many murals and sculptures we passed along the way. She was very knowledgeable about the city of Philadelphia. She pointed out many buildings with interesting architechure that you may have not noticed on your own. At the end of the tour she provided us with some dining suggestions. I wish they would offer this tour more than one time a day. It would have been nice to go on a dinner time food tasting.

My husband and I were away for a 1 day/night getaway to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary! The Philly Food tour was so much fun! We loved the history, food and the information. One of the highlights was going into Macy's to see the organ and the Eagle - oh and of course, the cheesesteak, pretzels, tomato pie, and the cool market right across from our hotel. We had a great afternoon - our tourguide was so nice and interesting!

Good experience, but didn't live up to the "hype"

We decided to do the Taste of Philly tour after reading all of the rave reviews on Trip Advisor and Yelp. Given the paucity of average reviews (almost all of them are outstanding), we were really looking forward to our tour, and for the most part, it was great. Our tour guide, while a bit muted in personality, was full of interesting information on the history of Philly and the foods we sampled which was perhaps the highlight of the trip. The food itself, however? Not all that impressive with two exceptions: tomato pie (the sauce on this thing is like crack -- I would seriously buy it in a jar if I could) and the chocolate covered pretzels (somehow the best I've ever had -- simple, but so, so good). But the soft pretzels were standard, the Philly Cheesesteak tasted like Hamburger Helper (huge let down), and the cheese wiz fries were disgusting -- the kind of generic fries you buy frozen at the grocery store with melted EZ-Cheez on top. Yuck. The cake truffle was a bit heavy and honestly *too* chocolatey. (If you're thinking, "Impossible!" or "*too* chocolatey? That's not a thing," trust me -- it is and these will prove it to you.) The other disappointment was that in most reviews we read, people said they were "stuffed" at the end of the tour. Our group of four normal-sized, normal appetite adults, however, began discussing where we were going to dinner immediately following the end of the tour. Was it a good time? Yes. Would I do it again? Sure... but I would definitely pick a different tour and *not* go hungry.
