I returned to Philly with my boyfriend, a first-time visitor, to visit my sister, a local college student. We all loved the walking tour and the historical information about the buildings and different parts of the city. And the food was delicious, generously portioned (more than enough for your main meal of the day), and was presented with interesting background. The only place we went that I had ever been before was Reading Terminal Market, and you would never hear me complain about that!
This would be great to do with a group. Definitely bring the camera, and don't forget to tip your tourguide! |

Having grown up and living in Philadelphia, I enjoyed the food and tour as much as the visitors in my group. Learned new facts about the city as well. |

My family and I had a fantastic time on the City Food Tour. It was a great way to see the sights of downtown Philadelphia, learn about some history and sample some really great food! The tour was very informative and because it was such an engaging tour, we didn't even realize how much of the city we actually covered. |

It was a very fulfilling journey. The best part was being able to walk off the calories in the process, making room for the next venue. Everything was really yummy. And the historical info was very enjoyable. |

The Philly Food Tour was great. I live in philly and had some guests in town and this sounded like a different alternative to having me as their guide. Everyone in the group loved it, very fun and informative even for locals! Definitly recommend! |

I really enjoyed my tour! I had Judy Beck as a tour guide and she did amazing. She relly knew her information about the city and she was very enthusiastic about it, which really made me interested in learning and hearing more about the city. My favorite place on the tour was Joe's Pizza, the tomato pie was amazing!!! |

We decided to do the Taste of Philly tour after reading all of the rave reviews on Trip Advisor and Yelp. Given the paucity of average reviews (almost all of them are outstanding), we were really looking forward to our tour, and for the most part, it was great. Our tour guide, while a bit muted in personality, was full of interesting information on the history of Philly and the foods we sampled which was perhaps the highlight of the trip. The food itself, however? Not all that impressive with two exceptions: tomato pie (the sauce on this thing is like crack -- I would seriously buy it in a jar if I could) and the chocolate covered pretzels (somehow the best I've ever had -- simple, but so, so good). But the soft pretzels were standard, the Philly Cheesesteak tasted like Hamburger Helper (huge let down), and the cheese wiz fries were disgusting -- the kind of generic fries you buy frozen at the grocery store with melted EZ-Cheez on top. Yuck. The cake truffle was a bit heavy and honestly *too* chocolatey. (If you're thinking, "Impossible!" or "*too* chocolatey? That's not a thing," trust me -- it is and these will prove it to you.) The other disappointment was that in most reviews we read, people said they were "stuffed" at the end of the tour. Our group of four normal-sized, normal appetite adults, however, began discussing where we were going to dinner immediately following the end of the tour. Was it a good time? Yes. Would I do it again? Sure... but I would definitely pick a different tour and *not* go hungry. |

Was hesitant to sign up for the tour initially as I was alone so it was a last minute decision that I decided and never did I regret! Tour bookings was so simple and hassle free, with clear instructions. The guide, Ryan was energetic, well verse in the area of Philly's food and history with a sense of humour. Provided extra assistance in looking for good food in Philly. Over all the tour is not only about good food but also learning about the history of Philly in a light-hearted way! Memorable experience well worth the money! =) |

Everything we ate was delicious, especially the tomato pie. I enjoyed the tour. My favorite part was going into the vault at Del Frisco. |
