Tired of the same old Valentine’s dinner for two? Treat your sweetheart to this uniquely seductive 2.5-hour event in the heart of Center City! Throughout the evening, entertaining aphrodisiac experts reveal the torrid tales and sexy science behind the foods that can get you in the mood.

This fun, social and slightly naughty event also includes: 
  • A fantastic 3-course dinner bursting with no fewer than 15 aphrodisiac ingredients, including a complimentary glass of wine, and sinful chocolates.
  • Steamy secrets from amorous icons like Cleopatra and Casanova, and bizarre concoctions served up around the globe…Don’t worry, none of them are on the menu for the event!
  • A lively cooking demo by Day By Day's Head Chef showing you how to make the fantastic entrée that will rock your world during dinner. The chef will also share a few tips for spicing up your cooking with aphrodisiacs!
  • Tons of laughs with entertaining games like kinky quizzo, so bring your “A Game” to snag some hilarious prizes.

The entire dinner event will take place at Day By Day.  We will not be visiting other restaurants or bars.

What Is Not Included?

You must provide your own transportation to and from the event. Gratuities are not included in the ticket price but are greatly appreciated.

Do I have to purchase tickets in advance?
Tickets must be purchased in advance to guarantee your spot. This events sells out quickly every year! Tickets can be purchased with a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express.
What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?
We are happy to accommodate all allergies and dietary restrictions to the best of our ability. Please let us know what you cannot eat in the "Message to the Seller" section during your purchase. Please remind us of your restrictions when you check in.
Are children allowed at the event?
Due to the adult subject matter of this event and the complimentary glass of wine, all guests must be at least 21 years of age. Please check out our Flavors of Philly Food Tour for a kid-friendly alternative.
How much food will I eat during the event?
We'll be serving a casual 3-course meal including a variety of foods and beverages believed to have aphrodisiac qualities. The dishes will be light and relatively healthy.
If this event is sold out can I get on a waiting list?
Unfortunately there are no waiting lists for this event.
What happens if it rains?
The event will take place indoors, so it is not affected by light weather conditions. In rare circumstances such as a heavy snow storm, a hurricane, or other extreme weather and the event venue can't open, the event will be canceled, and your ticket price will be refunded.
Will there be any walking?
No, we will be seated during the entire event.
Will I be able to drink anything at the event?
Yes! This event includes a complimentary glass of wine. Ice water will also be served.
Will I have the opportunity to make any purchases at the event?
There are no additional items that can be purchased during this event.
Are there bathrooms available at the event venue?
Yes. There are public restroom facilities available for the duration of the event.
Is this event wheelchair accessible?
Yes, this is a barrier-free location. Please let us know your needs by entering a "Message to the Seller" when you purchase your tickets.
Is the event venue climate controlled?
Yes. The venue is heated.

Policies

Refund/Rescheduling Policy

Non-refundable, cannot be rescheduled.
Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded and cannot be rescheduled because your space is being guaranteed at the event.

Other Policies

Due to the adult content of this tour and the complimentary glass of wine, all guests must be at least 21 years of age.

City Food Tours earned “Best of Philly” for best tour of the city and is a top-rated Philly attraction on Tripadvisor.com. Philly residents and unabashed foodies, Robert Weinberg and Eric Matzke, started City Food Tours in Philadelphia in 2007.
 
Robert graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and the
New York Restaurant School and owned a popular Philly restaurant. Eric studied sustainable agriculture in college and later took advanced courses at The Philadelphia Restaurant School. He is well versed in wine, beer, cheese, chocolate and has appeared on Fox 29 and NBC's The 10! Show as an aphrodisiac expert.
