Fun way to start the evening
Sat, May 4  5:00 PM clippelt Female 40-49 Local Group of Friends
Great cocktails in nice restaurants you wouldn't necessarily find on your own. Small tour group makes it easy to get to know one another and Robert, our tour guide , is very knowledgeable and entertaining. Definitely a great way to kick off a fun evening in Philly.

We were a mixed group of younger (20s) and older (50s & 60s), friends and relatives looking for something different and interesting to do having visited Philly many times. It was a great way to spend an afternoon. We enjoyed the food and the company.

This tour is filled with both great food and lots of history. Our guide took us on a delicious tour that not only filled our stomachs but also our minds. I can't wait to try another one of their tours!

Awesome experience!

Our tour guide, Judy, not only was informative and fun, but she had a lot of personal history tied to both Prohibition and Philly, so hearing her own personal history was amazing. The drinks were fantastic, and my boyfriend and I both really enjoyed getting to hear right from the restaurant managers how they make each drink, where the ingredients come from, and the tradition behind them. If your idea of a good night out is trying out some new drinks or seeking out a new place, this tour is for you-- you get three new places and drinks in one shot! Such a great event for a date night off the beaten path. We're going to book another tour ASAP, since this one was so great!

Great tour, even for local

Although we had been to each of the stops on our own in the past, it was fun doing it with Rochelle who was knowledgeable, charming, and helpful. I probably would not have stopped at the specific stalls in the Reading market so I have some new places to visit when I'm there. DiBruno's is always great as is Cappagiro.

Fun Philly Foods Tour
Sat, Apr 27  1:30 PM prostrowski Female 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our Philly FoodsTour led by Christine. The neighborhood restaurants frequented by "locals" were much more fun to visit than fancy restaurants. The philly cheesesteak, tomato pie, chocolate covered pretzels, etc. were yummy. Our guide, Christine, was a Phila. native; and she provided vignettes and insights only a native could provide. Would highly recommend.

Our tour Guide was excellent and very knowledgeable regarding the Prohibition Era. The Tour was fun as it was a beautiful day outside to travel from one establishment to the next. The cocktails @ Time and the Onion Rings were excellent. I would recommend this tour for someone who is local or traveling to Philly who is looking for a nice mini adventure with no stress. Enjoy!

The group was the perfect size and the information was great. It was an unique tour and our guide Donna was enthusiastic and engaging! The food was very good, but the drinks took the spotlight (clearly)!!

Worth it!

It was a very fulfilling journey. The best part was being able to walk off the calories in the process, making room for the next venue. Everything was really yummy. And the historical info was very enjoyable.

My husband purchased this tour for myself and our 2 daughters (ages 12 and 22). I wasn't sure this was something they would enjoy, but we gave it a try. We met our guide, Judy, and knew from the start that it would be an enjoyable afternoon. Judy gave us lots of interesting fact, inside information about shops, restraurants and local "happy hour" haunts, as well as the history of the foods we were to sample. I had never really liked Philly Steaks, but the shop Judy took us to was the BEST! Yummy!!! The Tomato pie was good and we enjoyed the pretzels and other treats. We really enjoyed the afternoon and would highly recommend this tour for visitor to the area.

Great day trip!
Fri, Mar 29  1:30 PM Laurachamber Female 40-49 Local Family With Children
We were looking for a day trip activity that would interest parents as well as young teenagers on a day off from school and work. The Philly Food Tour was a perfect fit! It was a mix of walking around Philly, learning a little of its history, and eating fantastic foods. The food portions were great and we were able to enjoy while sitting down in great settings. Our tour guide, Judy, was very informative and truly enjoyed sharing her knowledge of Philly with us! There were 18 people in our group, locals and out of towners, which was a fun combination. The tour kept the kids interested and they took home some info about the city. Overall, this tour is recommended! What a great day!

Prohibition Cocktail Tour
Sat, Mar 23  5:00 PM PChazin Female 60-69 Local Family With Children
My wife and I purchased this tour for my daughter and her husband for Christmas. We all went on the tour and a good time was had by all.Donna was our tour guide and she was great. She was very informative and personable. Donna not only spoke about prohibition, but she also illustrated with the help of many photographs many of the characters who were so instrumental during this time. The Tour took us to three restaurants that were located close to each other so walking was not an issue. At each restaurant you received a complimentary cocktail that was popular back during prohibition. The Restaurants were all great but each offered it's own distinct flavor to the tour. Our favorite was the "Speak Easy". This location was a true operating speak easy back in the day and the current owners continue the tradition today. The Speak Easy is where our tour ended but we stayed a little longer, unable to tear ourselves away from the surroudings. This was a great experience and we all highly recommend this tour to everyone.
