Fabulous food at places we would have walked right by. Not just a food tour but also a tour of the city, history, architecture, and social commentary. Kirsten was a great guide, can't say enough good things about her. My chidren ages 11 and 13 and I had a fabulous time and would reccomend the tour to anyone visting Philly> |

My fiance and I missed out on the tour because we came from Maryland and were about an hour late. We were very disappointed that we missed out, and the proprietor tried to accommodate us, but ultimately we missed it and ate the cost. I'd advise out of towners to come the day before or plan to be very early because the disclaimer DOES read no refunds. |

The Philly Food Tour was informative on the history of Philadelphia and on the food we were eating. The walk in the neighborhood was fun. A great outing for the afternoon. |

I already wrote an extensive review on Trip Advisor about the experience since that site is why I decided to try this tour in the first place.
Basically, though I am not a current resident, I grew up in the area and am very familiar with the genuine philly classics. I was shocked and saddened that all but one of the stops were not authentic. With the exception of the cookie, all the food was mediocre and forgettable. Philadelphia is full of amazing food and it should be a crime to mislead unsuspecting tourists with these imitations.
If you ever decide to operate an authentic taste of philly tour, I recommend the following:
Cheesesteaks: Jim's on South St, Geno's or Pat's
Soft Pretzel: an authentic one from the actual factory, not a fast food franchise
Tomato Pie: I'd never even heard of this one but I'll bet you can find a better one at the Italian Market.
Cheese Fries: Are you nuts? Frozen fries with whiz? This was disgusting and had no relevance in the tour. I can't believe this replaced hoagies.
Cookie: Reading Terminal was good for this, Termini Bros cannoli's are also worth a stop especially since they're only steps away. |

We were disappointed. No interaction with restaurant folks--no real knowledge of the food displayed by the guide. Schlocky |

We had such an enjoyable time on the Flavors of Philly Food tour! It was the highlight of our Philly trip and we have been talking about it non-stop since we've returned home. Our tour guide was fun, energetic and knowledgable about the city and helped to create a nice dynamic in our group. The food we tasted was excellent and we got a chance to see so much of the city and learn its history which we weren't expecting. Thank you so much! We'll be sure to recommend it to friends! |

We truly enjoyed the Flavors of Philly Tour. The guide was extremly knowledgeable and had a definite passion for her city and it's history. We enjoyed the tour so much we have recommended it to all our friends and family, and are looking forward to booking one of the other tour options the next time we are in Philly or NY. |

We enjoyed our tour. Our guide was friendly and the food was excellent.
However, we thought that it was a little too long. Perhaps cutting some of the walking tour of the city and one food option could reduce the tour by 30 minutes to an hour. That would have been perfect for us. |

My sister & I booked the tour online, not knowing exactly what we were in for. There were 3 couples besides us so we had a nice sized group. Our tour guide, Kirsten, was a college student & had a lot of enthusiasm & knowledge. She gave us a lot of interesting information about the city as well as places to go to eat on our own. We went to several places to eat, some were good, some not as good. The cheesesteak was good & the chocolate pretzels were wonderful, highly recommend. |

I am so glad we were able to do this tour. As my friend said "We should have done this first!" Judy, our guide was informative and sweet. Ate too much but worth every bit. I have recommended this to my sister who lives outside of Philly to experience it with her children. Thanks so much |

DIDN'T START OUT OK AS TOUR GUIDE DID NOT SHOW ACCOUNT MEDICAL EMERGENCY, NO PHONE CALL WE FINALLY GOT GOING 45 MINUTES LATE WITH ONE OF SUPERVISORS FROM OFFICE RUNNING TOUR. HE REALLY TRIED TO MAKE UP FOR INCONVENIENCE AND WOULD RECOMMEND TOUR TO ANY ONE VISITING PHILLY. |
