City Food Tours & Events

It was a very interesting tour. A good way to see the city and get some historical tidbits. Also, plenty of good food. I'm considering doing a tour in NYC when I go in September.

Our food tour guide was very nice but we really didn't go to any places we had not seen online. It was hot outside and far too much of the tour was spent looking at local architecture rather than inside eating as we had imagined. Pretzels were great but the cheese steaks had "cheese whiz" on them...I really cannot imagine this was authentic. Would not do this again as we could have researched these foods which Philly is known for and gone to the places ourselves.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her hometown of Philly which my husband and I greatly appreciated. Not only did we get a great sampling of food that Philly is know for and/or has to offer, we also got a great deal of history and information about Philly in general. Loved it and would recommend it!

On August 5th my wife, son, and myself took the tour with Judy, My son was born in Philly 15 years ago, and our main purpose was to show him the local flavors that we enjoyed when we lived there. Judy really made this tour the highlight of our vacation, not only with history of the food but also with history of the city. Some information was new to my wife and myself and we lived in area few years. Highly recommended.

I thought the Flavors of Philly tour was enjoyable. We learned some interesting things about the city as we enjoyed the cuisine.

Our group was all adults of different ages. We all enjoyed ourselves and were entertained by the information along the way and the game we played. None of us expected to receive so much information about Philly food history, buildings, etc. The food was delicious and plentiful.

My friend and I are from New York, and we were looking for something new to do on a Friday afternoon since we had the day free. She had done a food tour in NYC, so we decided to come down to Philly for the day and try out one of their food tours. I had lived in Philly for 3 years a few years ago, so I knew the area fairly well. But, as it turned out I learned a lot I didn't know while on the tour. In between the eating, the guide gave us some snippets of Philly's history in addition to the history of the food we were eating, and it was fantastic. The places we were taken to were such great representations of Philadelphia culture from the cheesesteak, to the tomato pie, to the soft pretzel. Ending the tour at Reading Terminal Market was perfect. The food was great, the guide was great, and it was a beautiful day to walk around the city.... It was a great time! After the tour we met up with friends of mine who are still in the area, and I told them they should absolutely do this tour!

We were a group of ten (family and family friends) ranging in age from 10-50. Our tour guide, Joe, was terrific in that he was very knowledgeable with historical but also trivial facts. He was able to discern what we were interested in and then cater to our needs.The food stops were delicious with excellent portions. The kids' favorite was the Tomato Pie. We enjoyed this tour very much and would recommend it !

Our family visited this summer and wanted something more than the historic sites - althought they were great! This tour incorporates the food and the history of the city. Our guide, Judy, was knowledgable and enthusiastic. I felt she knew her history of the city since she was a fourth generation Philladelphian. My children ages 12 and 15 enjoyed it as well. They tried foods they wouldn't have tried otherwise! Thanks for a wonderful time in PHilly!

This tour was a lot of fun! our tour guide was amazing. He gave us a lot of history and was very informative.

We really enjoyed this tour. It was great to get to sample great food that someone else did the research on and found the best spots. Even the kids (picky eaters) ate everything and loved it all!

This tour did not disappoint. The tour guides were fun, informative and the food was delicious. My favorite still has to be the craft beer and artisinal cheeses, though!
