Nice way to spend a couple of hours in central Philly. Food samples were excellent, and one should definitely NOT eat prior! :) History narrative was fine. Not as outstanding as tours in Manhattan, but much better than the one I attended in San Francisco. |

This event was so much more than I expected. First of all the tour guides were friendly, fun and very knowledgeable. The second bonus was the group of people I met on the tour, fun, welcoming and I felt like I was with family by the end. Next, loved learning about the history of the city with a food focus and actually getting to sample some great items. Finally, I loved that we walked the city and saw so much more than you would on a tour bus. I would definitely do anything hosted by this group.
Sincerely,
Janis

The Flavors of Philly tour was a great complement to the traditional bus tour that I took the day before. The food tour allowed me to get to know the city center much better, and being with a group of others was nice for a solo traveler like me.
All of the food we tasted was great. We got to sample a cheesesteak, tomato pie, soft pretzel, hoagie, chocolate covered pretzels, and a fresh chocolate chip cookie. We even had a vegan on the tour, and they catered to his dietary restrictions.
I would highly recommend this tour! |

This tour was really phenomenal - from cheesesteaks to hoagies to tomato pie to cookies and several other treats, the food was filling and outstanding. The tour guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and got everyone involved. The other people in the group were from around the country and the world and were all easygoing and lots of fun. I got a great view of the city from the tour. Overall I would recommend this as one of the best things to do and one of the best tours in Philadelphia. A true 5-star experience! |

Last week I had the pleasure of joining one of your tours with tour leader, Judy, and I would just like to say what a wonderfully, informative and fun tour it was.
Having done a tour of Philadelphia on a bus on the Monday before this one, when most of the attractions were closed for the day, II had some idea of the historical significance of Philadelphia, but it was brought to life by Judy with her fantastic knowledge of the city and it's history and the great food we sampled. I almost wish I was still doing food reviews for radio as I was a few months ago - would have been a pleasure to tell my listeners all about it. I highly recommend this tour to ANYONE! |

We had a wonderful tour guide! Learned a lot of things that I didn't know and I am native to the area. Lots of good Philly food - cheesesteaks, hoagies, soft pretzels, tomato pies - Yummy! Please don't hesitate. We had lousy weather and it was still gobs of fun! |

Over a few hours we made many stops on a walking trip for a variety of good and diverse food. The food is in small portions - just enough to get a good size sample without feeling overloaded by the end. In between the food stops our guide did a great job of describing the places we walked past and telling historic tales.
I would definitely recommend this trip. |

This was a good opportunity to get out and around the city as well as have people new to the city try some of the Philly food favorites. Having lived in Philly for the last couple of years I was excited to share of the food's I've grown to love with a friend coming to town for the first time.
Food Venues: I was a bit sad with regard to the venues they chose to showcase the city's finest foods. I understand that a lot of the vendors that were chosen were most likely based on logistics of having people walk but the food left something to be desired.
Tour Guide: The tour guide left something to be desired as well. The tour guide admitted that this was simply a summer job that she found off craigslist, albeit she showed enthusiasm about the job, some of the comments that she made either seemed very canned or from somebody that had very little history of the city and only needed a summer job.
Overall, I think this was a good activity for the day though I would have lowered my expectations immensely. |

I booked the Philly Food Tour for a Thursday prior to going to Philly. They canceled Thursday and switched us to Friday. Friday ended up pouring rain but the tour goes on. Our guide was knowledgeable and interesting. The food, which I expected to be samples, tended toward larger sizes. Full slices of tomato pie, a large half Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, etc. We had a vegetarian in the group and this was easily integrated. The tour hit four different stops, including the REading Terminal Market (where there were three items). All in all, a great taste of both Philly food, history and interesting facts. |

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. She had the group communicating and laughing...as if we had know each other forever. The food was tasty and plentiful. I would recommend this tour to any and all.
I would like to make one negative comment. Your description of the little extra for $5.00 sounded much more delightful than it was. I paid for the extra and saw that the extra cost only 2.50 in the display case. I felt thoroughly OVER CHARGED. Wouldn't mind having a refund. HA. |

This is an awesome tour! This is a fantastic way to show guests of Philly the rich Italian heritage through food. The good was delicious and you walked away stuffed. The connection to the local vendors is amazing, as we had a private dining room for tomato pie(when the average wait time to order one is 2 hours). The historical facts of our guide was awesome as well! The food tour is a great way to see any city and is highly recommended! |

Great cocktails in nice restaurants you wouldn't necessarily find on your own. Small tour group makes it easy to get to know one another and Robert, our tour guide , is very knowledgeable and entertaining. Definitely a great way to kick off a fun evening in Philly. |
