Best of New York - Personal Photo Tour

Just got back a view days ago and our photo's are stunning! Marc's a great guy, fantastic photographer and he really loves the city and it's beautiful sites. He can tell you a lot about historical buildings and other sites and show you anything you'd like to see. So don't be shuy and just ask him if you want to know or see something specific. The photo quality is good enough to enhance your pictures and the speed of delivery is mostly within 24 hours. Since we were in NYC for just 2 more days this was perfect. For people that don't like to get their picture taken, this is a great tour to book, because you're just walking down the streets, going on the subway, talking a lot and make jokes, it's almost as if the photographer is part of your group. At first we got worried that we would feel awkward, but we really didn't. I can't tell you enough how much we've enjoyed this phototour! Great pictures and lots of sightseeing. The perfect way to cover your citytrip! Especially when you don't have a lot of time or when it's your first time in the city. We'll definately come back to New York and we're 100% sure of making a second phototour with Marc! Once again we bow to Marc, all the way from the Netherlands. See you in a couple of years! Highly reccommend the photo trek tour. My husband and I love to document our travels with photos but rarely have pictures of both of us together. We are very proud of the many professional pictures that were taken while viewing popular sights in the city. This tour was definitely one of the highlights of our New York trip!

Myself and my new husband only had a few days of our honeymoon to see New York and doing the tour early on our first day there really made a difference to how we viewed the city. We had the confidence to use the subway everyday afterwards and stroll through streets we probably wouldn't have even thought of otherwise! It's so nice to be able to look back on the pictures and laugh at how worried we were about getting run over by the cyclists on Brooklyn bridge!! Marc was fantastic. He took great pictures, and he taught us how to get around Manhattan. We were able to go so many places other than the normal touristy spots. He helped us not be afraid of just going out and walking around. My 11 year old son and I are here on our first (but not last, I hope) trip to NYC--- This was the perfect tour!! Well worth the money- and the experience was wonderful. (I recommend going for 3 hours on your first day here, let Marc show you the ropes)

Our first experience of New York and Photo Trek was back in 2008. When organising our second trip in June 2010 the first words (well, excited shrieks!) that simultaneously left our lips were 'We HAVE to rebook Marc!!' I want to start by saying thank you to Marc as I have a feeling that the enthusiasm will take over as a go on and I will miss the opportunity to express our sincere gratitude on behalf of all of us from the 1st, 2nd and both visits! Let me start at the beginning: On the first visit there were 3 of us. My Mother, my Auntie and myself. On the second, again there were three for my hen weekend, My Mother, my maid of honour and myself (my Auntie had to cancel at last minute due to health reasons). On both occasions we did the two hour tour. You begin by booking through the Zerve service which is extremely easy to use and meet Marc on the steps of the New Victory theatre which is also very easy to find. From there you go on an ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKINGLY FANTASTIC TOUR!!! covering a variety of sights and if there is something you particularly would like to cover Marc is very accommodating. The photos are of fantastic quality both back in 2008 and in 2010 so for those of you who have never been on a photo tour please feel reassured that we have been twice now with a good period of time between the two treks and have had the best photos of both trips taken by Marc and hand delivered to our hotel. Furthermore I feel sure I speak on behalf of all of our group when I say that Marc's photos were so good we made Snapfish albums using his pictures and it is the only album we tend to show when talking about how great NYC is to visit! As for knowledgeable, this man has an encyclopedic knowledge of NYC! In order to be a tour guide in New York you have to pass the Professional Licensing Examination by the DCA so again you are safe in the knowledge that you are dealing with friendly professional, who will also help you find other places of interest if you so require whether it be somewhere casual to go for food or evening drinks, or somewhere upmarket for cocktails and glitz! In short Marc is an extremely down to earth, helpful guide, with a great sense of humour & copious amounts of knowledge in his field. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone that breathes, let alone mention they're contemplating visiting New York! We have even passed Marc's details to my Father who is a school Director taking Music students to Manhattan in 2011, as this trip is suitable for all ages and group sizes and can be paced accordingly. Brilliant!

I thought our Marc was very accomodating and informative. We went to all the places that we had selected. The scenes were fabulous especially Central Park and the Brooklyn Bridge. I would have liked Marc to have told me that my eyes were half open on a lot of the shots so that we would of prevented this form the start. We would of had more great shots to choose from. I did wear sunglasses on some of the Brooklyn Bridge scenes. I would of liked some more assistance on what would work best for us. I.e. facial expressions, eye closure, hair that might of been fixed. Just some more detail things would of been helpful. Over all we enjoyed the experience and were glad that we did it. Would recommend this to anyone visiting the NYC area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our photo tour which we booked for the afternoon after getting married at City Hall. Our main reason for booking was to get some iconic New York photos of us on our wedding day. Mark was both professional and laid back, putting us at ease. Being typically reserved English we were a little nervous that we would feel rather foolish being photographed, however, we needn't have worried, it was great fun and we got loads of pictures we would otherwise have never had. As we were flying home the next day, Mark was even able to get our photos to the hotel on the same day for which we were very grateful. As we had been in the city for a few days and done a lot of exploring ourselves we were familiar with a lot of the places that Mark took us to, however, we still learnt more about these places and Mark showed us things we had missed. We are delighted with our fabulous photos and the great experience we had. Thank you.

I took this tour during a girls weekend. I highly recommend this tour! What a wonderful way to see the city as well as great pictures to share with friends and family back home. I was very satisfied with the tour. We went to places that I know I wouldn't have seen if it wasn't for Marc. He was awesome! He taught us how to use the subway system -which is a great and inexpensive way to get around the city. We would have never done this on our own and would have spent a fortune on cabs. Marc was very informative and you truly can see he loves sharing his city with you. He showed us sites that we would have never visited on our own as well as made great recommendations on the way. He even dropped us off at a great restaurant in Little Italy for lunch. He called us a couple of hours afterwards to tell us our pictures were ready and already waiting for us at the hotel. During that conversation, he gave us directions to some other sites to visit. I highly recommend this tour and I have shared his brochure and website with all my co-workers and friends. Having the trip captured professionally on film is worth the price alone. The memories are captured and everyone in your party are in the picture as well. A true benefit of a personal tour with a guide that has a great eye for photography!

He was very nice and friendly and in terms of the work, he is a pro, he knows what he is doing. Our trip went super well, and he even gave us extra minutes of his time. If someone else will be reading this for a recommendation, you can book the tour with your eyes closed. This is how good this guy is.
