We booked this at the last minute and we were so glad that we found it. We spent 2 memorable hours with Marc who is very knowledgable and enthusiatic about his home town. We got pictures of ourselves that we would never have otherwise been able to get, in locations that we might not have visited without Marc's guidance. The photos were great and the disc arrived at our hotel within 24 hours. Very impressed with the service. Although it had been raining, Marc had a 'plan B' so that we would not miss out, however we did not need this as the weather held. We would not hesitate to recommend this tour to anybody visiting NYC and we would definately consider taking another one of Marc's tours. We loved every minute of it !!

THIS IS A MUST DO . . . .

My friends and I were in NY for the first time and our photo guide Mark could not have been more helpful and enjoyable. He knew what shots to take and where to go to get them. We had a blast. Even though an unpredicted rain came along, it did not dampen our adventure or our pictures - so we got wet, big deal. Make sure to book this for your first day in NY because Mark (while taking photos) showed us how to navigate the subway and we really got the lay of the land. Mark would take any picture we wanted, so let loose and get silly once in a while. You can't go wrong with this one - BOOK IT NOW !!!

Marc was a great tour guide and revised the tour to fit our needs. We booked ours on the last day there and had our pictures by 4:45 that day and they were really good. My only suggestion is to book him your first full day there rather than the last but book early because he does sell out.

Coming from Australia, never having been to the U.S. before, going on this tour was a wonderful way to see and learn how to get around New York. It was a fun-filled 3 hours covering so much that a tourist would never find on their own. The photos were wonderful! Marc was an excellent guide who taught us how to use the subway, recommended the best places to eat and what to expect in which area of the city. My sister and I highly recommend this tour to all NYC visitors!!

Great Tour and Photos!

My wife and I took the three-hour tour because this was our first time to Manhattan and we wanted to get a feel for the entire city. We scheduled our PhotoTrek tour to start 30 minutes after arriving in town and immediately hit the streets to take photos. Our tour covered a lot of ground and the photographs turned out incredible. In fact, I would probably do it again if I ever went to New York, just to get more photographs. We have photos of Grand Central Station, Times Square, Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge, Little Italy, Chinatown, the inside of a subway car. At first, we were completely confused with the subway system, but after our photo tour, we were riding the subways like the locals. If I had taken the photos myself, they wouldn't have had both my wife and I in the same photo, so it was great to have someone else snapping the pictures while we walked around and toured the city. At times it felt like we had paparazi following us around. Make sure you bring some good walking shoes because you will be moving the whole time. I wish I would have brought a few different shirts to provide some variety in the photos so that they all don't look like they were shot on the same day. I would leave purses, backpacks or handbags at the hotel room. They can become an extra hassle while posing for quick photos.

On our first trip to NYC as a couple (Sept 1-5, 2007) we had the pleasure of booking PhotoTrek's services to meet us at our hotel within hours of arriving in the city. Marc was prompt and very professional in all of our dealings. In addition, Marc is the kind of person that I am sure will get along well with anyone and any size of group. We would like to thank Marc and the great service that he provides and the wonderful disc of photos that arrived to our hotel very quickly after our tour ended. Marc was wonderful and provided us with a sample itinerary of sites to take in before we arrived on September 1. We made a few changes keeping in mind our future trip activities and couldn't have been happier with the outcome. We visited so many places during our four hours together and had the opportunity to talk with Marc and learn more about the great city he get's to call home. We are both positive we could have never covered that much ground and seen so many sites by ourselves. The really neat thing was that now as we get to look over the photos of our tour with PhotoTrek we see things that we didn't even notice due to our awe of arriving just a few hours earlier in the city - the Chrysler building over our shoulder, ALL of the beautiful greenery in the park, the character of the Brooklyn Bridge or the way that we look so happy in NYC together as a couple. Even after our tour was over - We both found ourselves using tidbits of information that Marc had shared with us during our tour. We even purchased discount theater tickets for the Phantom of the Opera at the TKTS booth that Marc pointed out to us from the Brooklyn Bridge, we rode the subway all over town with the knowledge that we could easily make it back to Times Square and we were able to enjoy the rest of our trip and not have to worry about taking photos together because Marc took over 200 great photos of us during our 4 hours together!! I would recommend PhotoTrek to anyone! Even if it is your first trip, your second or tenth trip, I think you will get something great out of the tour and working with Marc.

We would recomend anyone coming to new york to try out a photo trek tour. Not only have we got some great photos but our guide Marc made the tour interesting and pointed out areas that we would not have visited but for this tour. We now have some photos of new york that would have been impossible without this tour. Ten out of Ten

Mark - we cannot thank you enough. Not only a personalised tour of the greatest city in the world , but a unique reminder of a fantastic family holiday. Anyone that can engage with my kids at 8.00am on a sunday morning deserves a medal - but from the moment that you met us at our hotel they were transformed. It certainly must be the best three hour tour of NY with a lifetime photo album thrown in for free ! Good luck with the business - you deserve your success.

A unique quick start guide to New York with photos
Tue, Aug 14, 07   1:30 PM MaryTowner Female 50-59 International Tourist(s) Family With Children
This was our first trip to New York, we had booked a 7 day stay and wanted to make the best use of our time there. As a mother and son family we had almost no photos of the two of us together, so when I came across Marc's photo tour of New York on the internet it seemed the ideal solution for us. The other things that appealed to us were, Marc being a Native New Yorker, the tour being walking and subway, (rather than a bus) and a degree of personalization. My 12 year old son Damie is an avid Spiderman fan and wanted to see some of the famous landmarks from the films. Marc arrived early and let us know he was in the lobby of our hotel (another plus point, being collected). We met a well-turned out and extremely personable Marc, who immediately went through the Spiderman locations he could build into the tour - we had opted for the 4 hour one. He also checked the New York landmarks we were most interested in e.g. Central Park as opposed to the Financial District, in our case. This enabled him to decide how much time and focus to place on each location. Neither my son or I are naturals when it comes to being photographed, but Marc's expertise and quickness with his camera meant that we never had to pose or hold a smile for more than a few seconds. As a result we now have a disc of 200 professional photographs which Marc delivered to our hotel the following day. I know my son wouldn't have been willing to be photographed like this if I was holding the camera. Marc was also very sensitive to my son's sensory difficulties, when Damie found Times Square a bit too much for him, Marc moved quickly on, but still managed to get some shots here. He was very open and easy to talk to and we both enjoyed our time with him. At the end of the tour my son and I really felt confident about exploring New York over the rest of the week on our own, including using the subways, which Marc gave us a lesson in. We also felt we had received a comprehensive view of the city, visiting places we may not have got round to ourselves. With the portfolio of photos to take home from Marc's tour, we were able to spend the rest of our week in New York sans camera doing our own thing, including revisiting some of the places Marc had shown us. This tour is unique and real value for money - I would recommend it to anyone visiting New York.
