Best of New York - Personal Photo Tour

My wife wanted to go to New York for her 50th Birthday and I wanted a photographic catalogue for both of us.Marc was reccommended to us and he didn't let us down.The photos are brilliant and his tour second to none.His local take on New York was invaluable and recommendations on where to eat etc .. aren't found in any guide books.we would never have been able to capture the flavour of N Y,without the Trek Tour .( Marek and Julie Krzeminski ,Nottingham,England).

This was our fifth visit to NYC, and Marc our photo guide was still able to show us parts of the city we hadn't seen before. Marc was very personable, informative and his enthusiasm ensured we had a really enjoyable tour. The photos were painless and once over the initial concerns of having to stand in the middle of the road in Times Square it was very relaxed. Be ready to travel at speed with Marc... he doesn't hang about! He can also recommend a great shop for home made cannolis! If you have a couple of hours to spare, we would highly recommend this tour. Ask him to end your tour in the west village, where there are some really good restaurants for lunch.

Not being naturally predisposed to reading city guides and making plans for touring, we selected phototrek to give us a kick-start overview of New York and at the same time have someone else take the photos for a change. Marc's Phototrek acheived exactly that! Marc knew his city and knew it well. He gave us the typical whirlwind tour that covered all the main features and most importantly gave us confidence that we could continue to explore on our own. I think the winning feature of the tour concept was that it was personal. Sure it was clear Marc had done this numerous times before, but for that time, it was only Marc and us. If there was a negative, it was that every photo was dominated by ourselves. A few with us being a little less dominating might have been good. But that is us! At the end of the day the trek was everything it was advertised to be. Rapid overview and numerous photos of us!

Marc provides a great tour of the city. He customized it to our needs and shared some great tips along the way. We had a terrific time, and the photos were outstanding. They arrived at our hotel the next day. If you are traveling to New York, this is a "must see" tour. It's well worth the money.

The tour gives you a GREAT feeling of NYC and really helps to understand the many sites/locations of the city. I'm recommending Marc Samuels to anybody that we know who visits here to personally give the tour. He shared his knowledge of the city with us and is a great listener too. He had lot of positive energy like we're his good friends from the past. We started in Central Park, visited the local neighborhoods, walked by Columbus Circle, Times Square, Bryant Park, Grand Central Station (whispering corners I liked), subway rides/educated us on this (very very helpful), Brooklyn Bridge, Greenwich Village, Soho, Litte Italy and on and on. The walk up the Brooklyn bridge was exciting. When we were in the middle of the bridge, the views were so beautiful. As with Central Park and all of the other areas, we were able to appreciate the sites we've only known from television. We know now that every time we go anywhere we will be commenting on this tour. The day after our tour with Marc, we were with my brother & sister in-law and wanted to go see the cast of RENT in Bryant park. The great part was that we were able to lead the way. The tour was so complete in that we remembered how to get around to many of the places we visited just by following Marc's comments and directions. In short, we had a FABULOUS, WONDERFUL, EVENTFUL time all made so much better because of our tour with Marc. Thank you very much. We did not want to have to keep asking random strangers to take our picture just so we could get some pictures of us together. We are very happy with the pictures that we got, they look great and we got to see lots of the city's hot spots. Mark was very helpful and he gave us great information and advice. This is a great tour and well worth the price, your pictures will speak for themselves.

Marc was brilliant and so friendly.He showed us around his NewYork and tailored it to our expectations.His photos really captured the fun and excitment that comes with visiting new york. Marc knew all the best locations and explained the subway and so much about New York to us.We visited areas we would never have found by ourselves and feel we discovered the real new york. The photos are brilliant and Marc got the disc to us by 8am the next day. We can't recommend it enough.It will be the best part of your trip to New York. The photos in Central Park and on the Brooklyn Bridge are amazing and he also took us to Carrie's Brownstone stoop!! book now and you won't be disappointed.

We recently visited NYC and reserved a tour with Marc at Photo Trek. It was one of the BEST things we did. Not only was Marc an excellent tour guide and photography, he is personable and knowledgeable about the city and sights. We were unfamiliar with the city and Marc helped us maneuver the complicated subway system. We also received FABULOUS pictures of both of us together which seldom happens. It was wonder to have professional photos taken of our wonderful memories of NYC. We will cherish our memories and photos forever! Thanks Marc, you really made our trip special.
