Best of New York - Personal Photo Tour

Our Phototrek tour with Marc was fantastic! During our two hour tour we saw many more sights that I anticipated. Our tour began at our hotel and included (but was not limited to) the following areas: St. Patrick's Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, the NYC Subway System, Central Park, Grand Central Terminal, and the Brooklyn Bridge. Thanks to Marc's detailed Subway instructions (and demonstrations), the NYC subway system was no longer so intimidating! Marc was great with our two children. Several of the 70 or so pictures were of our children and were very good. My wife and I anticipate several of his photos being displayed promenately in our house! wFollowing our tour,we received our CD at the hotel the very next day. Should we return to New York, I certainly would want to do the PhotoTrek again.

This is a great service for folks new to the city and looking to have a few quick pics in front of some world-famous landmarks. The photographer was personal and professional. Due to the hurried natured, the majority of photos come out looking less than professional- but there are enough money-shots to make it worth your while.

This was the first and only organized tour we took while in New York City and we were not disappointed. This tour is well worth the money. Mark was extremely professional and proved to have a wealth of knowledge about the city. Not only did we end up with over one hundred amazing photographs, Mark also familiarized us with the city layout, the public transit system and made excellent restaurant recommendations. We took the 2 hour city tour and we were absolutely amazed at how much ground we were able to cover in that time period - We'd highly recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for a truly unique experience! Definitely 5 stars!

This event was one of the hilites af our trip. There were 3 of us and all of us enjoyed the places we went and the way Marc guided us and his photographic skills are excellent. We went on the 3 hour tour I thought it was going to be to long but I wished it was longer. Also the pictures we received were of great quality and we have them to enjoy the rest of our lifes. We all learned a lot about New York and used lots of the information Marc provided to get around and find our way back. I would recommend this photo tour to anybody going to New York. My Grand daughter and grand neice loved everthing about the tour. Again this was great and everyone should do the tour. Stan Jack

Our photographer knew that we were hoping to get a good Christmas photocard picture from our time together. He did such a good job that now we're going to have trouble trying to decide which to choose. Aside from his great photograhy skills, he was also very knowledgeable about New York and the sites we visited with him. He was flexible in accommodating our interests and had an array of itineraries from which to choose. He was very engaging, and we enjoyed our conversations together. We just couldn't be happier with Marc and our time spent with him (and we received the photographs on a cd that night at our hotel!). We would recommend Phototrek to anyone.

Couldn't have asked for a better introduction to a more beautiful city! The photos are proof of just how amazing New York City is, and of how much fun we had on our tour! We learnt our way around the city, how to use the subway and got some hot tips along the way of cool places to hang out. It all came in handy for the duration of our stay in NYC. I've told all my family and friends that if they ever intend on traveling to NY the Best of New York photo tour is a MUST! Everyone i've had the opportunity to show my photos to are in awe and that includes myself. All the photos are of great quality and would be almost impossible to get by ourselves. Love the tour, Marc is awesome, cant say it enough how enjoyable it was. Our trip to NY wouldn't have been complete without it!

This was a really special trip as 2 of our group were celebrating their 40th's. So we really wanted to capture the trip on film as well as see bits of New York that we'd not seen before. Plus its good to do a tour with a difference. Our guide/photographer was really informative and if it wasn't for him we would never have gone on the subway and understood how it works. This tour was recommended to us by others that have used this service and we were NOT disappointed at all. I will and have already recommended this tour to all my friends. Money well spent.

I don't know who gets to see this review but like everyone says marc is an enthusiastic individual, who gets you in the know of things such as getting around the metro and such. On our day of booking, the weather was raining all day but we managed to get a 2hour session from 4pm -6pm. We went around a lot of places such as times square, brooklyn bridge, central park and soho. It was very fast paced whether thats marc's nature or the rain I dont know but it was very fast and as such unfortunately I must mention that in a number of our photos we barely had a moment to pose and the shot was taken, that didn't bother me that much but what did bother me was a good proportion of shots were for some reason out of focus. Me and my wife were the subjects obviously and on a quite a good few we are out of focus or slightly blurry which was disappointing. My recommendation is to slow down and make sure you get the shot, I mean not perfection but at least in focus photos for the money paid. John C

Every year one of my best friends and I go to NYC. This was the first year we signed up for a tour with Marc and it was the BEST money we spent on ANY tour in the city!!!! You get a TON of pictures and the best personal attention you could expect from a guide. Marc was very professional and he made our tour exceptionally fun with tips and ideas about the city. It doesn't matter how well traveled you may be, it pays to sign up for this tour and let Marc give you the tour of a lifetime!!! It's worth the time you invest in yourselves for your traveling party and it's worth the money invested to bring home tons of pictures you wouldn't otherwise capture yourself. I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for...." - Marc superceded our expectations. Take the time to make this investment and completely enjoy your tour. You will NOT be disappointed!!!! Our tour with Marc was the high point of this year's trip!

This tour surpassed our expectations! Our photographer Marc was great in showing us around, teaching us to use the subways, and of course great in a taking more than enough pictures. We were in some very populated areas on the tour and Marc took pictures so it looked like we were the only ones there. I was so happy to have some pictures of my fiancé and myself together on vacation. This is a tour we will definitely participate again when we visit New York to ensure we have pictures together. I do recommend taking this tour at the beginning of your trip so Marc has a chance to help you orient yourself around the city. We felt like celebrities being followed around by paparazzi, it was so much fun!
