Best of New York - Personal Photo Tour

Just got back a view days ago and our photo's are stunning! Marc's a great guy, fantastic photographer and he really loves the city and it's beautiful sites. He can tell you a lot about historical buildings and other sites and show you anything you'd like to see. So don't be shuy and just ask him if you want to know or see something specific. The photo quality is good enough to enhance your pictures and the speed of delivery is mostly within 24 hours. Since we were in NYC for just 2 more days this was perfect. For people that don't like to get their picture taken, this is a great tour to book, because you're just walking down the streets, going on the subway, talking a lot and make jokes, it's almost as if the photographer is part of your group. At first we got worried that we would feel awkward, but we really didn't. I can't tell you enough how much we've enjoyed this phototour! Great pictures and lots of sightseeing. The perfect way to cover your citytrip! Especially when you don't have a lot of time or when it's your first time in the city. We'll definately come back to New York and we're 100% sure of making a second phototour with Marc! Once again we bow to Marc, all the way from the Netherlands. See you in a couple of years! Imagine you're visiting a new city. It would be great if you knew someone who lived there for years, and really loved the place and couldn't wait to show you around. Oh, and if he would take pictures, lots of pictures of you and your wife together so you didn't have to decide who gets to pose in front of what. If you don't have that friend in the Big Apple, the Best of New York tour is a close second. Spending our first day in the city walking around with Marc was a great way to get a feel for it, and especially to see a few off-the beaten path corners adjacent to more well-known spots. If you're looking for something a little different from a typical bus--or even walking--tour, you won't be disappointed if you go with Marc.

We recently decided to elope to New York and needed someone to take the photos. Marc understood exactly what we wanted and took amazing photos of both the wedding and of our tour of Manhattan afterwards. His formidable local knowledge and helpful attitude meant that our wedding day ended up being even more amazing than we could have ever imagined. He even booked a restaurant for us for that evening which turned out to be spectacular!! All of our friends have gushed over the excellent photos since we returned, and we would therefore recommend phototrek tours to anybody visiting New York!

Thoroughly enjoable and interesting three hours followed up by wonderful photographs delivered to our hotel the following day.

Marc was an excellent tourguide and photographer who helped us to capture life long memories in photos! We saw NYC as a local would, walking and taking the subway from one location to the next and we saw and learned things that cannot come out of a tour book. Its the first vacation (ever) that we have family photos from which included all 4 of us, and Marc's photo quality and the way that he made sure that the landmarks were part of each photograph, can not be rivalled by the types of amateur photos we would have taken. We had children with us and yet we always felt that our safety was Marc's priority and he kept his eye on all of us at all times. This was an excellent experience for all and we have already recommended it to all of our friends and family!

My roomate and I went to NYC for Spring Break and neither of us had ever been. So, we wanted to see all of the major sites, and since there were only 2 of us, we figured it would be hard to get great pictures of the both of us together at the sites. While online booking our trip, we saw the ad for the PhotoTrek Tour and decided to do it. It was the best decision ever! We got to see Central Park, Times Square, the Brooklyn Bridge, and Soho. It was so EXCITING! And the photographer was friendly and so helpful! And the pictures turned out AMAZING!!! It was well worth the Money and I would recommend it to anyone who has never been!

My husband and I started our vacation in NYC with this tour. It was a great way to start the trip because we were able to see many parts of the city in a short amount of time. Mark showed us how to use the subway which we continued to use our entire trip. We never took a taxi or used any other form of transportation while in NYC. We were thrilled with the photos, and have many lasting memories of places we enjoyed in NYC. Most of the places on the tour my husband and I later visited again. The tour moves quickly, but it gives a great overview of some of the many wonderful places to visit. Mark gives suggestions on activities and he gave us a great tip on restaurant week. We were able to make reservations and enjoy a great dinner. Great experience and wonderful way to get some great pictures.

It was nice having pictures of my husband and myself rather than just one of us or having to bug strangers take our picture. Our tour guide was very energetic and had alot of knowledge to share about NY. He was creative with his photo's and they turned out wonderful!

Having never been to New York and going as a couple we really appreciated the background and knowledge our photographer gave us, we travelled the subway which we would not have done alone and saw many things we would never have otherwise encountered. Our guide `Marc' was friendly and informative, our photographs delivered to the hotel the next day as promised. We a couple of 41 yrs old from Hilversum, the Netherlands did the tour on President's Day, on feb the 16th. Tour started at our hotel at 8 am and lasted untill 11 AM ending in the Villages. In these 3 hours we learned to use the subway, saw Broadway, Times square, Central Park, Grand central station, Brooklyn Bridge, and the Village. We originally had planned to tour further on our own after we said bye to Marc our tour guide, but after 45 min in the village following the advise to visit the market we decided to return to the hotel to relax from all the impressions and to view the 164 pictures.(on our request Marc made the pictures in RAW using the CF card we gave him) By using our own CF-card Marc does not have any copies of the pictures for back-up or request in the future. We really enjoyed the combination of the conversations with a local NY-er, Marc 's outstanding knowledge of the environment and the fact that we received the bonus of the pictures. It's well worth the price. Do wear comfy shoes and plan this activity in the beginning of your trip. In the afternoon we returned to visit the Central Park as it was perfect weather, and in the late afternoon we visited Top Rock (advise from Marc) were we had a nice view of the city(including ESB and Central Park). Later we send some pictures to our girls in Holland which they liked very much.
