Superb tour and wedding photo's

Marc Samuels is a credit to Photo Trek. On the day of our tour, which was our Wedding day, Marc greeted us and made us feel at ease with his knowledge of locations and execution of shots. During the tour we were able to view the photos and felt Marc understood exactly what we wanted. We set Marc a task of various locations around the city to have our photos taken, unfortunately they were all spread out across NY, but Marc was able to get us round NY at a speedy pace, tend to our needs and negotiate with cabby's to get us to our wedding on time! - Thank you Marc was able to spend a lot of his time with us after the ceremony to capture all the pictures we required, again Thank you. We were due to fly out the next day and Marc delivered the CDs to our hotel in the morning so we could take them with us. We are so pleased with the photos and have a vast selection to choose from.

Mark is a fantastic guy, and we will book him again on our next trip to New York. 193 shots, all unique, even the one from Kevin Bacon in Central Park. Be prepared for inimitable photos with a gigantic backround.

Marc was an excellent tour guide and a very skilled photographer. He explained the subway to us and it was very helpful. He took some wonderful pictures and I actually like looking at them - which is saying a lot because I don't normally like pictures of myself. He showed us some spots in New York City that we never would have thought of going. The tour was with me and my 75 year old mother, and the tour was at a comfortable pace - not too fast, not too slow. I'm sure he was used to walking a little faster with other groups, but he had some sort of sixth sense as to how fast we could go. I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting New York!

What a great way to see the city. We were on the move for 3 hours at a pace that was comfortable. After two previous visits to NYC, this tour took me to new locations and provided a wealth of information. We were left with great photos and a very positive impression of "the Big Apple". Thanks for a memorable morning tour.

We met Mark, our tour guide, at our hotel as scheduled. He was a wealth of information, took plenty of pictures, and even recommended some restaurants for us to visit. We took him up on several of his suggestions and they were excellent choices. We would highly recommend this walking tour to anyone interested in a quick paced overview of New York City.

My husband and I went to New York for our honeymoon. This tour was the best money spent on our whole vacation. Our tour guide Marc picked us up at our hotel lobby, and in only two hours helped us learn to navigate through the city and subway. He made what seemed to be an overwhelming city, become a fun and fascinating place to travel. We would not have enjoyed our trip as much if it weren't for him. Not only did we learn about the city and the different sites to enjoy but we came home with so many personal photos of us together that we would not have if we did not take this tour.

The Perfect New York City Experience

We booked this tour for our first day and it was the best way to start out our New York experience.. Have you ever taken a vacation and there is always one person left out of the photo, or not known how to get around to a specific location for a photo. Two hours with Marc and we took over 150 photos in some very exciting locations around the city, and we learned how to navigate the city and got the inside scoop from a native New Yorker. This was the smartest way for us to start our New York stay. Marc took some great photos of us that only someone who knows the city and understands how to frame the shot could acheive. What you see on the web page is just what you will get. He showed us how to navigate the subway system so we felt comfortable for the remainder of our stay. Spending 2 hours with Marc was like spending 2 hours with a friend who knows the city. Times Square, Central Park, the Subway, The Brooklyn Bridge, the Fianancial District, and SOHO, try doing all of this on your own, can't be done, but we did it in 2 hours with over 150 photos of both of us in the pics. Marc was very polite and knowledgeable to be with. Suggestions: 1. Dress for the weather- it started out cool but warmed up fast 2. Wear comfortable walking shoes- to get the most out of this experience you need to walk, your shoes don't ususally show in the photos so go for practical not pretty 3. Ask questions- learn as much as you can about the city, this is your chance to get the answers to all of your off the wall questions and get suggestions of how to make the most of your stay We cannot think of one negative of this tour, you might think it's a little pricey, but it is worth every cent. The next time we visit we will do this tour again, we will just customize to more off the beaten path locations now that we've done the big tourist spots.

Marc is very friendly and flexible. I asked him whether we could change the schedule from Sunday to Saturday, since the weather forecast said that from Sunday to Wednesday will be raining, and he said OK. We could make our happy family pictures in eye catching places in New York City in 2 hours. Marc knew the places from Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Central Park and Brooklyn Bridge. We will do photo tour next time if we are in NYC with our other 2 children, who couldn't join us on this trip. They are in school.

Great introduction to NY by a local, photos too!

Great introduction to New York by a local photographer. You need to have your running shoes on as Marc, like a true New Yorker, talks, walks and takes photos at a brisk pace. Marc gave us heaps of information and helpful tips as well as showing us how to use the subway, which you use to travel between photographic locations. We ended up with a CD full of precious photographic memories of my husband and myself at iconic New York locations, such as, Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, Rockefeller Centre, Times Square and more in just two hours. Well recommended

Simply the BEST!!!!!

We have taken this tour multiple times, and it just keeps getting better! We live in Indiana and bring foreign exchange students to NYC on a fairly regular basis. This is absoulutely the BEST way to not only see the city, but to get a real feel for it...not just the landmarks and the "must see" stuff but the neighborhoods and all the things that aren't necessarily in the guide books. The tours are customizable, so you can spend as much or as little time in an area as you wish...or if there is something you really want to see you can make sure and include it...it's your own personal tour. Plus, Marc is very good at explaining how to get around, and how to travel on the subways...as well as pointing out what things to see & do and what things to avoid. If that weren't enough --- you also get a CD full of great NYC pictures! It is a lot of walking, but is is very much worth it. If you take only one tour in NYC...take this one!!! By the time you get done, you'll feel like a local. We will certainly return again!!! THANK YOU MARC!!!!!

This was a great experience from start to finish. I read the reviews before I purchased our tickets, so I thought I had an idea what to expect, but it exceeded my expectations! Originally, I booked the tour for photos, because it was a special anniversary for my husband and I and New York is a special place for us. I really didn't think I would get much out of the tour, because I've been to NY before. I was pleasantly surprised! Marc is a fun and personable person, and he really loves this city and knows it so well. We arrived at our destination early, and he was already there waiting for us ready to go. We covered a lot of ground, but he made sure to take us to the places that were most important to us, and took the time to get the photos that we really wanted. It was no trouble for us smiling for the camera because we were having such a great time on the tour. Marc made us feel really comfortable and happy in all of the pictures, and we couldn't be more pleased. We posted our album on facebook and our friends and family thought they were awesome! Also invaluable, Marc gave us tips on where to go, what to avoid, and make the most of our vacation here. All in all between the fun time on the tour, the fabulous photos, and the tips for what to do, I couldn't be happier with our experience.

My wife and I had been to NYC a few times over the years but we just scratched the surface of exciting places to visit. Our PhotoTrek tour guide, Marc, is a NYC native and really knows his way around. In three hours we covered the highlights from Central Park to the Brooklyn Bridge. Marc didn't just take fablous photos, he told us about the landmarks and some very interesting stories about NYC history. The pictures are so much more interesting when you know a little bit about the backdrop. We particularly enjoyed exploring SOHO and the East Village. Besides getting a ton of restaurant, clubs and live music recommendations Marc has a way of taking a suprisingly simple backdrop and turning it into a great photo. I would recommend a PhotoTrek tour on your first day of your NYC vacation. It's a great way to learn the city and then you can leave your camera and guide book at the hotel! Other than the last 10 minutes of the first act of Wicked, our PhotoTrek tour was the highlight of our vacation!
