My wife and I where visiting New York from Australia as part of a Birthday gift to my wife and purchased the four-hour tour. Marc Samuels provided a wonderful and enthusiastic service. Mr Samuels's obvious enthusiasm for his native New York was infectious and my wife and I not only enjoyed the photographs but also the fabulous guided tour. We would recommend this tour to all and sundry.

We took the "Best of New York" tour, and it was the highlight of our trip. Marc, our guide took us all over, got us around on the subway, pointed out items of interest we should go back and spend more time seeing (and explained how to get back to them), and showed things and took us places an ordinary tourist might not get to see. On top of all that, he took dozens and dozens of great pictures of group all over the city. I would strongly, strongly recomend this tour!!!

I booked a trip to New York for my husbands 30th birthday and this photo tour was easily one of the highlights! We met with Mark who asked us where we wanted to go and suggested some places that would be good to have pictures taken at. We followed his lead and had a brilliant 2 hours. He not only took some great pictures but also gave us the history and some good facts about the places we went to (including a much needed lesson on how to use the subway!), it was clear that he loved NY and knew everything there is to know about it. I thought we might feel a bit silly posing for pictures in public places but that was not the case at all, we felt very relaxed and just had a lot of fun. As promised our CD of pictures was delivered the next day to our accomodation and I have to say we love absolutely all of the pictures. I would definately recommend this tour to anybody (and have done so!), it's great to add to your holiday and you can ensure you have great pictures taken in great places. Thanks very much Mark, we've left your details with my brother who's staying in NY until the end of 2012 and he's added them to his list of 'things you must do' when the family go out to visit! Was disappointed with overall value - expected more as many pictures were the same type of mug and headshots that a stanger on the street could have taken - expected more from a professional photographer and thought there would be more creativity in action-type of pictures, use of props along the way and recommendations on different poses (instead of so many mugshots) We did several tours while in NY for a week - overall, this photo tour was our least favorite (but most expensive) -- it's OK to do if you have time to fill but would not recommend as a "must do while in NY."

Mark was great. He was very knowledgable about New York and delivered exactly what was promised, a tour that showed us the Best of New York City. The CD full of pictures was delivered to our hotel the same day and we can't wait to go and print them out! Wear comfy shoes. We did the 4 hour tour and it was definitely worth the money!

My girlfriend and I came to NY so I could propose to her on top of the Empire State building. That went off without a hitch and the next morning we met Marc in the lobby of our hotel. Marc was very professional, listened to our needs, and added his imput as well as to how our 3 hours should be spent. Marc took us to all the cool spots and got our pictures in amazing places. Our pictures on the Brooklyn bridge looked like we were the only two on the whole bridge (and there were litterally hundreds of people on it!) Now me and my girlfriend have all the pictures we could want with both of us in all the pictures (no need for me to photo her or vice versa and no asking strangers to take our pictures). I highly recommend this tour to anyone going to New York who wants a boatload of professional pictures in all the cool places. Great job Marc!!

This was the favorite part of our trip to NYC! Marc was fantastic! I went with my 16 year old daughter and her friend and I saw sights I had never seen before in New York. Marc taught us how to use the subway and feel totally safe in the big city. He gave us sooo many tips and is worth every penny on just his tour guide! The fact that we have unbelievable pictures and memories forever is just icing on the cake! Thank you for a great experience in NYC!

This tour was a great way to begin our vacation in New York City. Our tour guide Mark was great, he showed us how to use the subway system and even went out of his way to guide us directly to the train that would take us to our next destination, Coney Island. He answered all our questions and was patient even in the 100 degree weather. The quality and amount of our pictures was awesome. What a wonderful keepsake.

The tour was an excellent way to capture the hotspots of New York when you're traveling with a significant other. We would never have been able to bother passerbys to take this many photos of us, and quality of these photos were top notch. We were able to get 100+ photos in 5 locations over the course of the two hour tour. Definitely a great experience!

I enjoyed my personal photo tour with Marc, who tried his best to squeeze in as many different shots of me in various locations in Manhattan as possible as I had a very packed day of activities following that and could not spend more than 2 and a half hours with him. Good way for single travellers to get good photos of themselves "on location" ! You also get all your photos in a CD the very same day after the tour, which is very efficient & convenient as it was my last day in NY. Thanks, Marc !

My friend and I were first time visitors to New York and although we had worked out a vague itinery we were not really sure of distance and time. We had worked out our itinery on foot as we had heard that traffic etc (taxis and buses) would be time consuming and we were nervous about using the subway. However one tour with Marc and we were hopping on and off the subway without a care in the world and reaching our destinations quickly and with ease. After 5 days we felt like true New Yorkers! During our 3 hour walking tour with Marc we certainly covered a lot of areas and visited places that we would not have seen had we not gone on this tour. My friend and I would definitely recommend this tour for a first time New Yorker!

Our phototrek tour was one of the highlights of our holiday. Marc was both friendly and professional. The CD of photos are brilliant. He was happy accomodate an early start from our hotel and fitted in all the places we wanted to include. An excellent tour.

An absolutely outstanding tour that we would highly recommend! Matt and I were staying in New york for a fortnight with a 5 day trip to Boston in the middle of it. We had our tour on day three and from the first minute of meeting Mark we both felt so comfortable and at ease with him. We asked Mark to chose where he took us, as we said to him " you're the boss and you know the best places" We visited Times Square, Central Park, went on the subway, Brooklyn Bridge, soho and Greenwich. It was awsome! We felt so relaxed and so famous!!! We could see people looking at us and thinking "who are they" it was just so much fun! Mark dropped our cd of 113 photo's off at our hotel later that afternoon and they were stunning. The close-ups of us against the stunning New York backgrounds are fabulous and to have so many photo's of the two of us is wonderful. To give you an idea of how amazing this tour was.........we went straight back and booked another one for the day before we came home! The second tour was as amazing as the first one, maybe even better because we felt even more at ease with Mark, he had become more of a friend by this point. We had our own ideas this time and Mark was quite happy to fall in with them and also to make a few suggestions of his own. We went to Grand Central Terminal, (ask him about the whispering wall!) Bryant Park, Ground Zero, The South Street Seaport and others that I just can't remember at this point. Please, if you have the chance to do this tour then do it!!! You will feel a million dollars, you will have awesome photo's of ALL people in your group, you'll get a private tour of New York by a native New Yorker and you'll get to make a damn good friend too!!! What more could you ask for?? Mark, if you're reading this............................Told you I'd write you a good one didn't I! Ask for Jimmy...his knowledge of the history of NY is fantastic...it is his passion, and it shows. I am not saying that the other tour leaders are not great, as we only did the tour with Jimmy, but I doubt anyone could surpass his passion and enthusiasm, which he passes on to his group. I must comment that I said to my husband that it seems like Jimmy is doing this tour for the first time...and by that I don't mean his knowledge, I mean his enthusiasm. He has obviously done this tour over and over and over again, but he does not make you feel like that, it feels fresh and enthusiastic....thank you Jimmy.
