Myself and our group (4), totally recommend others to take the Photo Tour with Marc. The photos came out great and the shots he got were better than any we would have gotten on our own. Marc was such a nice guy and so knowledgeable about NYC. He not only snapped us in different "hot spots" but also shared with us history about the different areas we were visiting, showed us how to use the subway system and made sure that we were pleased with the photos and locations as well. Our photo tour was very special, as my brother John, proposed to his girlfriend at the end of the tour in Central Park. Marc knew this was planned up front and was sure to capture every moment of it on camera so her family could share in the memories as well. He did just that and did a superb job. If you have family or friends going to NYC soon, the PhotoTrek Tour is a must do and totally worth the $. As others suggest, take it your first or second day in town so you can get the full benefits of in learning your way around with Marc's guidance as well!

I'm lucky. I travel often. This was my 4th trip to NY City and found the photo tour to be a large part to why this was my favorite visit! The experience ran smoothly from the moment we recieved a confirmation call for the next morning with our meeting spot, to the very last moment. I found the guide wanted us to have fun and enjoy the experience and even let us suggest pictures we wanted taken, which would have meaning to us he couldn't know about. Conversation was easy, I felt safe with the guide and he lived up to his promises to show us the hot spots, take the best pictures, and delivered the CD that evening as promised. I came home and have looked through my pictures over and over. I highly recommend taking the tour, it was worth every penny. I know I have memories caught in pictures I would never have been able to get on my own. I only hope I can find this service in other cities...it'll be the first thing I look for when I take any vacation. I've already given family and friends the recommendation not to visit NY without taking this photo tour! My parents have been to NY at least 10 times, and after viewing my photos they agree they have to line this tour up for their next trip. Enjoy NY, and have the pictures to prove it!!!

Myself and my new husband only had a few days of our honeymoon to see New York and doing the tour early on our first day there really made a difference to how we viewed the city. We had the confidence to use the subway everyday afterwards and stroll through streets we probably wouldn't have even thought of otherwise! It's so nice to be able to look back on the pictures and laugh at how worried we were about getting run over by the cyclists on Brooklyn bridge!! We loved the experience of going around town with Marc.....He was really great and took a load of great pictures. (there wasn't a bad picture in the bunch) My daughter and I would not have these great pictures if we had done them ourselves........for one we don't know the great spots with the views that Marc does....and two we wouldn't of been able to take pictures of us together........and you know getting a stranger to do it and be that good is unlikely!!!!!!! I am so glad we did it and when we go again (with the whole family) The only tip I will give is be sure to wear comfortable (walking) shoes. We wore hills and our feet didn't feel too good that evening. There is some walking and it isn't much if you are in comfortable shoes, but hills will make you feel like you walked 10 miles. I am so glad we did it and when we go again (with the whole family) I will definately give Marc a call!!!! Well worth it. When my parents decided to take my boyfriend and I to NY for Thanksgiving, I wanted to make sure it was a great experience for Morgan since he had never been to the BIG Apple. I found PhotoTrek Tours and thought it was perfect for our trip. The day we arrived we met Mark a few hours after we landed. Though it began to drizzle, we decided to go with it and do the tour anyway. Shortly through the tour the rain stopped. The photos came out awesome, and we learned so much from Mark that I did not even know my first time in NY back in 2000. It made it so much easier to have our photos taken rather than asking someone to take them for us. We got a crash course in the sites and let me tell you, I have never walked so much before in my life!. Thanks Mark you were great. I definitely recommend this for anyone who has not been to NY. My parents even loved the pictures and will be coming back in May. They are definitely going to do the tour. GREAT experience and fUN!!!!!!!!!!! This was the number one best thing we did during our trip to New York. Would recommend this to everyone, the tour was great - we really got around everywhere - and the photos were fantastic!!! This guy is a great photographer and knows the city well. Well worth the money, like your own personal tour and we have the best photo keepsakes from any trip we have every taken.

What a wonderful way to see the city and have the photos to prove it! Marc did a wonderful job of giving interesting facts and of capturing all the fun we had on this trip. OMG! What fun we had! My husband and I were planning a trip to NYC, (Nov 2007) so I did some info searching on the Internet. One of the pages I landed on had an ad for Photo Trek Tours. I clicked on it. What a fabulous idea! My husband and I take lots of pictures, but come home with just a few of the two of us together. I read all of the reviews - if you are reading them - listen to all of them that tell you to be READY to walk! haha OMG - Marc had us going at a good clip! We saw more than I thought possible in two hours. Bonus - he taught us how to use the Subway (your new best friend), so the rest of our visit in NYC was so simple for getting around! Marc is a great guy - full of information and a spectacular personality. He kept us entertained. We had a great time in two hours, saw a lot, learned a lot and had a CD with a TON of great pictures delivered to our hotel room the next day! I have already used one of them for our Christmas card! Everybody loved them! If you are reading the reviews - I know you are interested. Trust me - it's worth it! I would love to go back and do it again with a bigger group of friends! Marc even recommended a place for our first NY pizza experience! It was great too! Do it!!!! PS - do the PhotoTour your first day if you can - it really helps you get a feel for the city and subway for the rest of your stay!

I work for the military and was sent to NYC for a conference. I had never been to NY and the only reference I had for the city was what I had seen on TV, I asked my husband to go along with me, not only for a mini-vacation on my off time, but because I was basically scared of the big bad city and what I may encounter. When I found this guided tour on line, I decided it would be good for us to do. I was so pleased when we met our tour guide. He was knowledgeable, friendly and put me at ease immediately. He even managed to get me to relax enough to get off the beaten path, ride on the subway and see other parts of the city. The pictures he took were an added plus and well worth the money spent. Very rarely do my husband and I go on vacation and have pictures of both us together enjoying ourselves. I would encourage everyone visiting NYC to take advantage of this guided tour. Thank you so much Mark for your hospitality and if you ever get to Florida, look us up. He was very nice and friendly and in terms of the work, he is a pro, he knows what he is doing. Our trip went super well, and he even gave us extra minutes of his time. If someone else will be reading this for a recommendation, you can book the tour with your eyes closed. This is how good this guy is.

I would recommend this to anyone visiting New York, particularly if it's their first time. It was mine & my boyfriends first time visiting the city and the tour was brilliant for us to be shown the sights by a true New Yorker! Although the tour was fantastic, what is really special are the photographs; we now have loads of beautiful pictures that we will treasure for many years and they are of both us together. This tour provides a great introduction to the most frequently visited tourist spots on Manhattan. We took Marc's tour as a family of two adults and a three year old, I highly recommend Marc's tour as an introduction to the island and as a great way of getting some great family shots. Marc provided interesting conversation and commentary on the locations we visited and was patient with our son, who we were getting in and out of a stroller for the photos. What a brilliant way to see the Big Apple. We had a great time with Marc who really knows his city - plus, he's a great guy. He was very considerate and looked after us well, taking us to parts of New York we would not otherwise have had time to see if we were exploring on our own. We are already telling all our friends that if they come to NYC they MUST book a tour with Marc. Truely brilliant - the photos are already printed out and up in the house, reminding us of our great holiday. I enjoyed my personal photo tour with Marc, who tried his best to squeeze in as many different shots of me in various locations in Manhattan as possible as I had a very packed day of activities following that and could not spend more than 2 and a half hours with him. Good way for single travellers to get good photos of themselves "on location" ! You also get all your photos in a CD the very same day after the tour, which is very efficient & convenient as it was my last day in NY. Thanks, Marc !
