PhotoWalks Tour of Freedom Trail

For my sister's birthday, I wanted to give her an experience rather then a gift. She loves history and I not so much. We have lived in Massachusetts 45 minutes from the city for over 30 years and have never done the freedom trail. Since she loves history so much I decided to suck it up and go on the tour. But me being more of a creative type thought that I could make it more enjoyable for myself by doing the Photowalk tour, at least that way I could get something out of it. Saba did a great job combining history and creativity in the tour. Though I did learn about some of the history of Boston and I was actually not bored, I also took over 120 pictures, most of them being frame worthy. I have taken granted the beauty that is held in this gorgeous city and it took looking through the lens of my camera to remind me what I have within a quick drive. I am by no means a photographer, I enjoy beautiful things and I can point and click my camera, nothing fancy. However with Saba's help you would think I was a professional. She made great suggested shots and was good at keeping us moving and allowing me to spread my creative wings a little with my shots. I would recommend this tour to those who want something fun to do that is looking for a more unique experience. I would love to do it again and try a different area! Thanks Saba we will be back!

My husband and I had taken a Photowalk of Back Bay earlier in the year, and enjoyed it, so when our niece who loves to take photos came for a visit, we signed up for a Photowalk of the Freedom Trail. Learned a great deal about our history and how to effectively photograph the sites that document it, while thoroughly enjoying a great walk around our fabulous city of Boston. Saba is great, very knowledgeable, and super patient with camera novices like me. Will definitely sign up for another photowalk and tell our friends about it too.

Managed somehow to be the only person on this tour ... we decided to do Beacon Hill and the Public Garden ... COMPLETELY AMAZING EXPERIENCE ... Saba is incredibly knowledgeable about Boston history AND about photography. We instantly clicked and had a whirlwind tour. Got some of my best shots ever. Learned SO MUCH about photography AND Boston! I am definitely coming back! Thanks Saba!

Tour offers a very friendly presentation that is flexible and considerate of all who participate. The combination of historical perspective, photo interest, and unique applications are fundamentally shown with an interactive approach that holds your interest throughout the tour from all angles. A very rewarding experience.

The tour was well paced and hit the most important parts of the Freedom Trail. It was enough time to improvise with picture taking and Saba's comments were helpful for taking various types of shots. Thank you!

The tour guide (Saba?) was extremely pleasant and knowledgable about the area we toured (Beacon Hill). And, though both my husband and I are active photographers - for both family events and while traveling - we learned so much. I just did not believe I would learn so many neat tricks. I can't wait to take my next vacation to try them out!

I saw and learned things about Boston I am sure I would not have otherwise. Riding in a tour bus and viewing a city from behind a pane of glass, cannot compare with a good walking tour like this. And, wait until your friends see your pictures!

Saba is great and really knowledgeable. This isn't your typical boring historical tour. Really fun.

Took the Freedom Trail walking tour with Saba...and enjoyed every minute of it. I am, what I thought was a pretty knowledgable local, but I found out things that even I didn't know. She was also great with explaining my new superzoom camera to me. NOT a full fledged camera lesson, but great tips on composing images and tidbits about depth of field and stuff I have trouble relating too~even as an X-Ray tech!! Not a bad walk, she does wait for you, if you get caught up in your photographing....but a steady walk past the Old State house, thru Faneuil Hall......watch those cobblestones....and a finish at Paul Revere's house...which I never saw before.....AND, it's a quick walk from there to Mike's Pastry, for some treats to bring home. I did bring a H2O bottle, but it was a perfect day for walking. Planning to do another tour with her soon, and considering an Xmas season walk thru Beacoon Hill.(Christmas lights and all Victorian) Highly reccomend Saba's tour.
