A very welcoming Boston experience
Tue, Jun 3, 08   1:00 PM Cyndith Female 50-59 Local Individual
I would recommend this tour to anyone. I spent a delightful afternoon learning about Boston and trying out new ideas with my camera. Saba gives you a good historical overview about special places along the Freedom Trail and helpful hints for photographing them. You go home with an appreciation for events long ago, the changing city today, and some great pictures. The tour ends in the North End, and afterwards I enjoyed visiting and photographing Old North Church, Copp's Burial Ground and the local neighborhood streets, inspired to try some of the techniques I had learned. Saba tailors her tour to any level of photographic experience. Family members who don't have cameras will also enjoy the tour with this very hospitable guide.

FANTASTIC TOUR!

Saba's Photo Walk Tours are the BEST concept for a tour I could have hoped for. It was only by accident that I stumbled across her website, and I am so thankful that I found it. It was exactly what I was looking for, as who really wants a plethora of standard, non-impressive photos taken out of a bus window? Saba was highly enthusiastic and made the tour so enjoyable. The photos I was able to take are magnificant, and really capture the beauty of Boston. I highly recommend her tours!

Great tips on how to be a better tourist!
Sun, May 25, 08   1:00 PM smansour Female 40-49 Local Individual
This tour was definitely worth the time and money. If you want to learn how NOT to take photos (that seem boring once you get home to show family and friends) consider this tour a MUST do while in Boston. What you learn from Saba helps you take photos like a pro. When I got home to have a look at my photos they looked like something out of a magazine. I've learned how to frame photos with the right lighting and will take those skills with me wherever I go. I'm definitely going to be recommending Photowalks to all my friends and family who come to the Boston area. Thanks, Saba!

This was my second Photowalk tour and it was a great experience (just as the first tour). This tour was absolutely a great investment in the time - and the cost was extremely reasonable.

A Different, Informative and Fun Way to See Boston
Tue, Apr 22, 08   1:00 PM Capemom8741 Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
We lived in New England for almost 5 years, so I'm familiar with with most of the sights in Boston. While recently accompanying my husband on a business trip, I wanted a tour that would provide me with a "different" view of Boston. Since photography is my hobby, the Photo Walk really appealed to me. I booked not only the Beacon Hill tour but the Freedom Trail tour on the same day. Our tour guide and photographer Saba, greeted us enthusiastically and gave a brief synopsis of what to expect on the tour. The tour was fast past but the group size was small. Saba explained and demonstrated various ways to photograph sights to make our photos less mundane from the typical tourist photos. Saba was also well versed on history and facts of the sights we visited. She also made the effort to answer questions and to personally assist anyone who may have needed assistance. This amateur photographer arrived home with many unique and beautiful photographs of Boston. I also have a new perspective of how to view and photograph the world around me. Thank you for an enjoyable and informative day, Saba!

Intimate and engaging tour

I let a friend take all the photos while I came along for the history. The tour was an intimate group of three which left plenty of time for photographs and one-on-one interaction with Saba. Saba was well-informed about everything on the tour. I think there were only one or two questions that I had that she didn't know the answer to. Unlike other tour guides, Saba did not overwhelm us with information but she was more than willing to embellish any story if we wanted to find out more information. The tours were well paced and we never felt rushed. We had plenty of time to explore the route and to take the photos that we wanted. I had only planned to take two of the five tours before I arrived in Boston, but after I took the first two I immediately took the other three. I would highly recommend these tours to a friend.

Different fun from a trolley tour
Tue, Dec 30, 08   1:00 PM Amatsubara Female 30-39 Local Group of Friends
I enjoyed the tour a lot. Actually walking through the town was a different experience from a trolley bus tour. You can stop and learn the details, and after the tour it made me feel more familiar to the area. Also the activity of taking photos with some advices was very interesting. Back at home, many pictures taken from angles I had never thought of made a nice photo album of the freedom trail. Highly recommended. I would like to take another tour again.

Saba, did a super job! She knew her history, as well as her photography. Boston is SUCH a great city, and this was the perfect way to explore it. It was a nice balance of historical information & photography techniques & composition. Saba is a true professional in every sense of the word. She loves what she does & that really translates! Thank you for a wonderful day, Sincerely, Lisa Katilus
