My husband and I took my father on a phototour of the Freedom Trail/North End for his 65th birthday. Our guide, Saba, was wonderful. She was very personable, pleasant and knowledgable; not only in the area of photography, but of Boston history too. We learned so much and will use the photo tips again and again. I love the photographs we came home with. We are looking forward to returning for one of Saba's other tours.

I received a great history lesson from Saba and also great photo tips. I took many great photos - the only thing I had a hard time adjusting too was staying on track to take the pictures of things Saba was touring. As we walked on the tour, I wanted vere off and take photos of other things I found interesting but felt as thought I needed to keep going to complete the tour. I recommend it and recommend you back track and take any photos of things you saw along the way. Saba was great and was very patient with me if I decided to take photos of other things along the way. |

I recently was in Boston on a business trip, and took this tour to provide an overview of the city and snap some photos too. I wasn't sure what to expect as I am not a photographer, but am thrilled to report that it was a great time. I really enjoyed that the guide highlighted those small details that you often walk right past, and then helped each of the tour attendees incorporate those details into their photos. Great concept, highly recommended, plus now I have some great photos of my visit! |

Raised only a thirty miles out of Boston, I learned so much about the fascinating history of Boston that I never knew. I found myself repeating some fun facts over dinner with friends. The photography aspect added a nice twist. Not only did I get some beautiful shots of Boston (which I plan to frame), I got to see the city I love through a completely different photographic perspective. Saba, our tour guide, is very knowledgeable and down-to-Earth. She clearly loves what she does for a living, as it is evident in her dedication and enthusiasm for the tour. I took the Freedom Trail / North End tour and would consider going back for another one of her tours (in another part of the city) in the future. |

The tour was ok besides several rain showers, but that's mother nature.
There were plenty of historical information shared, but I expected more on the phototechnical side. How to take them, what to look for and which settings are best. |

This was entertaining and informative. The tour guide spoke to you, not down to you and was well informed and extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend this to locals and visitors alike interested in learning more about photographic tips and Boston's history. |

We selected this tour as my parents have visited Boston many times, and almost exhausted the local routine historical tours. It met our needs: for my father the history buff, and my mother the budding photographer (in her own mind!).
Saba was friendly from the start, timely and respectful of all in the party. She asked names and where we were from and referred to participants along the way to keep them engaged and on track.
We had a beautiful day, and the 2 miles flew by as the pace was good for retirees', mom's with strollers, teenagers, and dogs. Great historical information was shared, and nice photos are a great asset to leave with.
Saba is knowledgeable and passionate about what she does and the result is a great tour in a great town. I recommend it for tourists, locals with visitors, or locals looking to experience the city in a different way. I can't wait to do another with Saba! |

My new husband and I took Saba's photography tour of the Freedom Trail as part of our honeymoon in Boston. I think this was our favorite activity of the week!
History Lessons -- I had lived in Boston for many years, but Saba taught me so much I did not know, things I had never heard on other tours or read in books. She helped us to see this pretty city in a whole new way. A natural teacher, she tell stories in such a way that you will remember them after the tour. She was also able to pick up on what we were interested in and focus her narratives in those areas.
Photography Lessons -- Saba is a gifted photographer, and she helped us take photographs that were both artisitic, descriptive, and commemorative of our trip. She gave us several tips on how to take attractive, exciting pictures, and then advised us on how to apply those techniques at various stops on the Freedom Trail. Through her advice and by repetition of application, we were able to learn well these photography techniques. She followed up by sending us an email with the techniques and advice all written down so we can use them where ever we go!
I love the pictures we took, and have received many compliments on them after posting them on Facebook! Saba was also kind enough to take a few pictures of me and my husband, which we love.
Though we did not sign up for a private tour, it landed up being just me and my husband, which was nice -- though I think it also would have been fun to meet other people with smilar interests. Saba has a pleasant manner and is a clear instructor and encouraging teacher. She is also a storehouse of knowledge!
Totally worth the price. I hope to take another tour with her the next time we are in Boston. |
