We selected this tour as my parents have visited Boston many times, and almost exhausted the local routine historical tours. It met our needs: for my father the history buff, and my mother the budding photographer (in her own mind!).
Saba was friendly from the start, timely and respectful of all in the party. She asked names and where we were from and referred to participants along the way to keep them engaged and on track.
We had a beautiful day, and the 2 miles flew by as the pace was good for retirees', mom's with strollers, teenagers, and dogs. Great historical information was shared, and nice photos are a great asset to leave with.
Saba is knowledgeable and passionate about what she does and the result is a great tour in a great town. I recommend it for tourists, locals with visitors, or locals looking to experience the city in a different way. I can't wait to do another with Saba! |

The photoguide was very knowledgable about the historical monuments of Boston and provided excellent photo tips, such as the trying to get different angles of buildings to make the photos interesting. One photo that was really cool, was taking a picture of the Benjamin franklin statue from an angle that makes him look like he is walking in the woods instead of being in the middle of the city. Very good tour, would recommend to everyone!!! |

I previously did the Beacon Hill Photo Walk. The Freedom Trail is my second with Saba. The photo suggestions are wonderful and Saba is very informative. My son lives and works in Boston and during my next visit I hope to do the Back Bay photo walk. I recommend this for anyone who wants to come home with some memorable and creative photos. |

My new husband and I took Saba's photography tour of the Freedom Trail as part of our honeymoon in Boston. I think this was our favorite activity of the week!
History Lessons -- I had lived in Boston for many years, but Saba taught me so much I did not know, things I had never heard on other tours or read in books. She helped us to see this pretty city in a whole new way. A natural teacher, she tell stories in such a way that you will remember them after the tour. She was also able to pick up on what we were interested in and focus her narratives in those areas.
Photography Lessons -- Saba is a gifted photographer, and she helped us take photographs that were both artisitic, descriptive, and commemorative of our trip. She gave us several tips on how to take attractive, exciting pictures, and then advised us on how to apply those techniques at various stops on the Freedom Trail. Through her advice and by repetition of application, we were able to learn well these photography techniques. She followed up by sending us an email with the techniques and advice all written down so we can use them where ever we go!
I love the pictures we took, and have received many compliments on them after posting them on Facebook! Saba was also kind enough to take a few pictures of me and my husband, which we love.
Though we did not sign up for a private tour, it landed up being just me and my husband, which was nice -- though I think it also would have been fun to meet other people with smilar interests. Saba has a pleasant manner and is a clear instructor and encouraging teacher. She is also a storehouse of knowledge!
Totally worth the price. I hope to take another tour with her the next time we are in Boston. |
