Description

Boston Harbor was one of the busiest ports in America for hundreds of years. It once boasted over 30 wharves and dozens of shipyards. Over the years, Boston Harbor transformed from a bustling port to a dumping ground and finally to an area where hotels, restaurants, and cruises have made it a popular tourist destination.

Find out where John Hancock kept his money, discover which Boston landmark was the first skyscraper, see a 19th century asymmetrically designed building and enjoy panoramic views along Boston Harbor. Photo opportunities include:
  • Old State House
  • Custom House
  • Christopher Columbus Park
  • Harborwalk
  • Much more!
This PhotoWalks tour is presented with historic commentary and photography tips for taking creative pictures of Boston's Waterfront. Learn new skills that will inspire you to become a better photographer.
