Wonderful Intro to Boston!

We'd decided that this looked like a very good tour for our first morning in Boston - following an evening flight from the UK the previous day. We weren't disappointed; Saba was very enthusiastic - it was a small group (just 4) - and she adapted to us (with Digital SLRs) & the other two (who had compact cameras); nice wander round bit we'd certainly not have found on our own, and while the weather helped (it was sunny) - it also gave other challenges to the photography (lots of shadows/contrasts!) Thanks, Saba, it was fab!

Great way to see the city in a new way

Loved this tour. My friend and I had been talking about this for awhile and finally just picked a day. We did the Waterfront tour and even though we'd both been there a million times it was great seeing it from a different perspective and learning new tricks with our cameras. I've been here for years and gone on many tours with visitors, but I still learned new things. Definitely a different way to explore the city.

Great tour with wonderful little photo tips

I took the Boston Waterfront Tour because I wanted to get some good shots of places I don't normally go in Boston. I always seem to gravitate to the Public Gardens when I'm on my own. Saba gave enough historical info (even for those of us who grew up in the Boston area) and her photo tips along the way were very good: reflections, silhouettes, and unique angles. I enjoyed it so much I am going to take the Beacon Hill Tour and the Freedom Trail/North End Tour if it ever cools down enough on a Tuesday or Friday before I have to start teaching at school again.

Great time with personalized attention. This was our second trip to Boston and second time going on the PhotoWalks tours and it was like visiting a friend we know in the area. Saba helped us take several great photos of my wife and I and learned quite a bit of history and trivia along the way. Try to spot the cruise ship.

Did not get there on time

Address entered into GPS was 206 Washington, Boston. Garmin took me somewhere on Washington, probably west, but by the time I tried to figure out 206 East I was much too late to join the group. It was a lovely day and I took some great photos on my own but do truly wish I had been able to be there for the tour.

Educational and enjoyable photowalk

Saba leads a very good PhotoWalk, well-organized and focused. I was an out-of-town visitor, wanting to learn about Boston, and this walk took us through an interesting area. I also learned some useful things about photographic composition in an urban environment, even though I consider myself an advanced amateur photographer. An enjoyable and educational way to spend 90 minutes.

This was a great city tour with a twist! I'm not really a history buff, so, the photo element was a great addition and kept me interested. I love the shots I captured! Would highly recommend this tour!

This was great!

Photography is a hobby I am passionate about and when on vacation, I take it seriously. This tour and the 3 others I took with Saba, were a wonderful way to get to know Boston and to find spots to take good pictures to remember it by. Saba was very knowledgeable and helpful in doing both. Friendly, enthusiastic and flexible, she geared the tours to the season and the individuals on them. This tour ended up to be private, so we did not even really get to the waterfront but stayed in area I preferred - beautiful peak fall foliage and Halloween decorations. She shared suggestions and demonstated positions for good shots. Her tips for camera operation and settings were very helpful. Additionly, she gave information about the area and tidbits of history along the way. After the tour, she made sure we could find our way back to our transportation. That was important to a person directionally challanged like myself in a place like Boston! I would definitely recommend any of these tours to visitors and locals alike. Thanks for a great time, now I am enjoying my pictures and will continue to try what I learned to improve my creativity in photography.

Fine Way to Spend the Day

My friends from work and I really enjoyed this tour. It was fun and informative, and Saba was an excellent guide. She took the time to provide historical details and photo tips, which made the day even better. I plan to try one of the other tour locations (we did the waterfront one) in the fall.
