Great way to spend a morning

This was the second tour I have been on and I was not disappointed. The length of the tour was perfect and we got many helpful little hints that make a big impact on the final product. I enjoyed the casual atmosphere and small group instruction. I have recommended this to several of my friends.

Photowalks tour of Boston was great. Saba was informative and friendly. She gave a history of the sites on the Freedom Trail while combining photo tips. It was easy to follow her suggestions. I am an avid traveler and photographer. She really opened up my mind to different perspectives in travel photos. She also helped us in pointing out details I rarely notice. It was a terrific way to spend my afternoon. I can't wait to come back and complete some of her other tours of Boston.

There are tours and then there is Photowalks tours

I consider myself to be an avid photographer and my camera equipment always travels with me to destinations. I randomly came across PhotoWalks' tours of Boston and thought it was right up my alley. I couldn't be more right! This is the kind of tour you go on if you want a close up look at a part of Boston more native city dwellers never pay attention to. You learn a bit of history as you go along, but you guide really wants you to gets some amazing photos too! You are one in a small group (my tour only had four people plus our guide) and you all have the same objective. You don't have to worry about not hearing your guide or getting lost along the way in a group of fifty other tourists! When I return to Boston, I plan on taking another PhotoWalk tour and only wish there were more tours like this one everywhere!

We had a very limited amount of time in Boston and Saba was able to show us a great deal of Boston that I would have missed if I was on my own. The pace was great for photographers and if I came back, I would try another one of her tours.

A great activity for visitors and locals alike!

Whether you are a visitor or a local, an avid photographer or a tourist with a throw-away, you will find this tour educational and interesting. I am a lifelong resident of the Boston area, but Saba showed me sights I'd never visited! I enjoyed my first tour (Oct 2009) so much that I purchased a Gift Certificate for my mom as a present and went along with her for a 2nd tour this Spring (2010). Can't wait for my next one! Saba has extensive knowledge of the city's history, which she couples with a helpful, unique, hands-on photography lesson.

Great tour - very unique and well worth it!

Saba was an excellent tour guide - very personable and brought a lot of enthusiasm. She knew a lot about the area, so in addition to pointing out the unique photo ops, provided a good background of the area. She has a natural eye to find ways to present what looks like normal pictures in an interesting and creative way. Next time we're in Boston we plan on doing one of the other tours she offers.

This was a highly recommend tour and it lived up to the hype. It is a great way to see a city for any one who also wants to capture some great pictures. I would love to see this type of tour offered in other cities and will recommend it to anyone I know visiting Boston.

Wonderful tour and photography tips!

I had a wonderful tour with Photowalks in Boston's Back Bay. I learned a lot about this city itself, the architecture, and especially on ways to take memorable photographs. I haven't had my new camera very long and Saba was able to help me - a lot! - with ways to use it, tips, and ideas. Even though it rained part of the time, it was still well worth it and the rain itself actually made a lot of the photos more interesting!

Great tour for beginner or enthusiast alike.

My husband and I were in Boston for vacation and he is a photography enthusiast, always taking pictures, and has a great camera. I'm a scrapbooker. Our guide was able to tailor the tour to all levels, giving us all shots we could try, but giving my husband camera settings, etc. But still keeping it easy enough for a casual user. Our guide didn't have a big fancy camera so it wasn't intimidating. And she mixed in tidbits about the houses and people in the area. Our tour group was small, which was great. If we'd been visiting longer, we'd have taken another of her tours. Can't recommend it highly enough.

History and Pictures

A great time learning about the history of the city and country. Learning different ways to take pictures made the rest of our vacation more exciting and used the tips to take alot better pictures of other places we went. This is a great way to start your time in Boston so you can see the sites and then can go back and the things you saw you can go get a closer look and also makes picture taking more fun.

It was a very informative tour and I learned some good composition techniques. If I am ever in the area again, I would consider going on another photowalk tour in a different area.
