A lovely walk in the park!
Fri, Sep 4  10:00 AM karepass Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
I was fortunate to be the only person on the tour of the Boston Public Garden, so I got to ask unlimited questions of Saba. She was very informative and encouraged me to look at the usual scenes with a different eye, a different angle and a more intuitive approach. There were so many more questions that I could have asked her! Not only was she an informative photographer, she had many bits of information of the history of Boston and I think she would probably be a great friend! I would encourage anyone to take the tour, and to keep your fingers crossed that you were a part of a small group!

Saba was warm and welcoming to myself and my young adult children. This was a great way for them to use their cameras of varying professional levels and for them to see Boston from a more personal angle. I would highly recommend this activity for Photographers of all skill levels!

A great walking tour.

Saba has a great eye for composition and thanks to her advice I not only got good photographs and learned about the Boston Garden and Beacon Hill areas. I have taken a photography course but I think I learned more from Saba about composition and setting up a picture than I did from the course. My wife is not an avid photographer and only took a couple of pictures, but she also really enjoyed the tour.

Great experience

My daughter and I did this photo tour for her eighteenth birthday and both had a great time. Our guide did a very nice job of pointing out details in the city that could easily be overlooked as well as relating relevant history and showing us how to incorporate those details and history into our photography. By showing us how to capture a setting with her own camera, the guide also helped us develop more of an eye for creating more interesting pictures. We did the Beacon Hill tour last year and are looking forward to the Back Bay tour next year!

We are from Finland and visited Boston for one week. Before the trip we found Photowalk website and decided to go to the Beacon Hill Photowalk. It was money well spent and we enjoyed it a lot! Saba was really inspiring and gave a lot of good tips for better photos. She also told interesting stories about different places on the Beacon Hill. This was way better than the ordinary tourist guide tour!

A perfect photo day
Fri, Aug 14  10:00 AM happy4you Female 40-49 Local Family With Children
My daughter and I had a wonderful time on this tour. We enjoyed learning some very helpful tips on taking pictures and using our cameras. We had a perfect day of picture taking. Saba was easy to talk to, knew the history of the parkl, and she kept us moving at just the right pace. This 90 minute walking tour felt like a 5 minute walk. I will be telling all my friends about this photo tour. We can't wait to walk the Back Bay tour in the spring!

Great experience - learned lots
Fri, Aug 7  10:00 AM smittymom227 Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
The other people apparently cancelled, so I was the only participant. We covered a lot of ground, both literally & figuratively, since it was a one-on-one opportunity. She is obviously very familiar with both the history of Boston, as well as places to get great images, not to mention photo techniques. I would definitely take one of her other walks when I have the chance to be in Boston again.

In a few hours, I learned so much from Saba not only relating to composition and camera techniques but also background of the subjects that enhance my learning experience. I plan to sign up for more lessons.

Fun!
Fri, Jul 31  10:00 AM lyssyn Female 30-39 Local Individual
I'm interested in professional photography and figured that this might be a small step for composition and such. Loved that it was a small group (there were only 5 of us) and Saba had a lot of good historical information on what we were shooting as well as great composition ideas. I will be joining her on other walks in the future. Got a lot of information for the money I was paying! Enjoy!

Well worth the tour booking!
Thu, Jul 30  1:00 PM reimanp Female 30-39 International Tourist(s) Individual
I have had the privilege to walk the tour with Saba alone as a group had postponed to another date. We went to the Public Library and I was full of surprises to be shown a beautiful inner courtyard. Here I stood in a completely different world with photo opportunities galore! During our PhotoWalk Saba guided me to places and pointed out to fantastic shots, I would otherwise never have seen. On that morning it had rained and puddles produced amazing reflections. I was so excited as reflections are my favoured theme in photography. Saba is a very knowledgeable and entertaining commentator on Boston's History. Next time I visit Boston, I will ensure to make more bookings than just one! Petra Reimann - Luxembourg -

Very enjoyable

We enjoyed out PhotoWalks of Beacon Hill. We loved the history and beauty of the area. With Saba's help, we began taking great photos. The tour has changed the way we use our cameras. We learned to be more creative and we are thrilled with the photos we took. We plan to take more PhotoWalks this fall.

Our photowalk was very enjoyable. I am not a photographer but I went with friends who are. I have never been to Beacon Hill and I found the tour very interesting.

why enjoyable and only negative was size of group
Thu, Jul 23  1:00 PM rmikkels Male 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
THe guide explained in a very understanding way how to look at perspective photographic targets from a photographer's/artist's perspective. Enjoyable to talk with she appeared very knowledgable not only from this perspective but from a historical perspective. The only real negative was the size of the group (13) which when combined with the limited time led to some rushing of pictures.
