Great day trip

This was a great way to see and learn a little about the Back Bay area of Boston. The guide was informative with many great photo taking ideas. I learned a lot about composition and plan to use her recommendations in taking future photos. We also plan to sign up for more PhotoWalks tours in the near future. Overall, I highly recommend the PhotoWalks.

History and photography. Two of my favorite things. Thanks for helping me see both in new and creative ways.

Not for Serious Photographers
Tue, Mar 24  12:00 PM cmiskow Female 30-39 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
Historically, the walk was wonderful and the guide was very knowledgeable. The photography tips, however, were more geared towards "vacation snap shot shooters" than serious artistic photographers. I was expecting tips regarding aperture, depth of field and exposure setting; the tips I got were mainly "set the camera on automatic, point and shoot." She discouraged the use of a filter, which I thought was somewhat limiting to my own creativity and often suggested shots that I felt were traditional "post card views" rather than encouraging the photographer to look for a new point of view or a new take on a familiar setting. If what you are looking for is photographic memories of yourtrip to Boston, then this is your ideal tour; however, if you are a serious hobby shooter, take the tour, leave the camera in the hotel, then retrace your steps the next day on your own.

My 12-year old son and I toured Beacon Hill with Saba and we both absolutely loved it. We both took gorgeous photos and learned so much. I purposely scheduled the tour at the beginning of our stay so that we could incorporate tips into the photos we took the rest of our stay - worked perfectly. Highly recommend!

I learned more from Saba about photography than I ever could have imagined. We covered a lot of territory and she included local tales of our travels. It was a great deal for the fee charged. The various trips made it easy to fit in to a tight schedule. Highly recommended!!

The Photo Walk was an experience that I'll always remember! This walk through Boston's historic sites allowed me to not only see the wonderful landmarks but also experience them through the eyes of a photographer. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to walk through history and capture amazing photographs.

Best Present I've Given Myself
Thu, Feb 26  9:30 AM agolfms Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
After not being able to decide which of Saba's tours was the best to take, I took three. This was the best gift I could have given myself!! What more could an amateur photographer ask for than to walk through the city with a photographer as a guide? Saba gave me tips and showed me different angle perspectives that I never would have thought of on my own. I left Boston with fabulous shots- thanks to Saba!! I would recommend Saba's tours to anyone who would enjoy exploring and/or photography.

Different fun from a trolley tour
Tue, Dec 30, 08   1:00 PM Amatsubara Female 30-39 Local Group of Friends
I enjoyed the tour a lot. Actually walking through the town was a different experience from a trolley bus tour. You can stop and learn the details, and after the tour it made me feel more familiar to the area. Also the activity of taking photos with some advices was very interesting. Back at home, many pictures taken from angles I had never thought of made a nice photo album of the freedom trail. Highly recommended. I would like to take another tour again.

Quiet, Excellent tour of Boston

PhotoWalk's tour of Beacon Hill was great. A small group and a great guide away from the crowded, standard tourist stops in Boston. Photo tips were excellent and the area trivia you get during the tour was very interesting. I'll definitely be signing up for other tours when I'm back in Boston.

Nice Tour with Knowledgeable Guide
Sat, Nov 29, 08   10:00 AM sstroth Male 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
I found this tour to be very enjoyable. Saba is a very good guide, knowledgeable about photography with good tips, both for photographing this neighborhood and photography in general. Saba is a very personable lady who also has a good knowledge of the history of Beacon Hill as well. While geared for photography, this is an enjoyable tour for non-photographers as well. If you are into photography, I would encourage you to have your non-photographer members of your party to join as well. This is a good tour for anyone with an interest in photography, from someone experienced to someone just starting out.

Worth Your Time and Hard Earned Money!
Sat, Nov 29, 08   10:00 AM nymetsfan822 Male 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
You may be wondering to yourself, "Do I really want to spend the money" on a walking photo tour. My answer is yes because you will be guided by someone who not only knows the historical perspective of the area being toured but also has local knowledge of current residents. You will be prodded gently into seeing through your camera from angles you may not normally employ. I appreciated all the info presented on the tour as well as the photo tips. Enjoy your time on a PhotoWalk Tour.
