Scott was one of the best tour guides ever. He made everyone on our tour feel comfortable. Our group ranged persons from all over the Domestic US ages 16-70. We all had a blast and left with full bellies and enlarged understandings of pizza history. I would do it again in a heat beat.

Read about the tour on trip advisor and read the reviews there. Wasn't sure at first whether it was a bit too off the wall but the tour didn't dissapoint, it's exactly what it says and Scott is the most informed Pizza geek I've ever met. Since returning home I found myself recounting this part of my visit to NY more that the others (Scott I can't find san manzano tomatoes anywhere). I know all about the ovens, baking, history, ingredients, varieties of pizza and consider myself an unofficial pizza gourmet. The weekend tour we took is carried out on a yellow school bus which is a novelty to us foreigners and attending pizza restaurants in areas we'd never go to (Harlem, Queens and the Bronx) only added to our enjoyment. We ate with the NY Fire Department sitting in the same restaurant and a gleeming tender outside (Photo opportunity). We mixed with others on the tour more than a traditional sight seeing bus simply due to the zaney situation we were in. At the end we came back not realising four and a half hours had passed and stuffed with pizza. Well worth a go and althougn very specifically centred around pizza a great and refreshing break from the standard and expected tourist stop offs.

Great activity to do with kids!

Scott does an amazing job making the tour fun and educational! It is important to understand that this is not a tour of New York - the point of the tour is to learn about the history of pizza, pizza making, and pizza tasting, which are all accomplished and delivered extremely well. If you are expecting to do some sightseeing on the tour bus, there is none, and that is by design. We would absolutely recommend doing this again, our kids 9 and 12 had a ball, and so did we!

I can't say it loud enough... Go on this tour!! It was so fun and entertaining. Scott was great and knew everything about pizza. The tour stops at four locations and by the fourth you will be feeling stuffed! It was a great 4 1/ 2 hours and I plan on doing it again when I go back to NYC.

Brilliant format and a very entertaining 3-4 hours. Plus you get to see bits of New York you probably wouldn't go to on your own. Patsy's pizza was the best.

We booked this tour for our entire family to celebrate my daughters 19th birthday party. We love New York and we love Pizza and now we love Scott's Pizza Tour. What a great experience, we had a lot of fun and now we know more about Pizza then we ever thought possible. Scott knows pizza and knows how to have a good time with his tour groups. Scott is very enthusiastic and fun. The pizza was Awesome, we really enjoyed Lombardi's and in fact we returned to Lombardi's after the tour for supper. We highly recommend this trip to anyone that enjoys New York and loves Pizza - you won't be sorry. Don't forget to ask Scott to serve you with his NEW Pizza gadget he got in LasVegas at the Pizza convention.

Everything there is know about PIZZA!
Sun, Mar 15  11:00 AM Ryebread Female 50-59 Local Family With Children
Delicious and informative tour of the best pizzerias in NYC by a pizza enthusiast and for enthusiasts. We were a group of parents in 50's and sons in 20's. The vote from us four is an overwhelming "awesome". Not only did we eat the best pizza around, but we learned about its history, ingredients, difference in baking styles, and much more. On the bus tour we got to venture to parts of the city we would never think to go, so it was a bit of site-seeing too. Scott is informative, funny and most all passionate about pizza.

This was actually my second time going on Scott's Pizza Tour, but it was just as great as the first time. Scott is enthusiastic the entire time and keeps people engaged during the tour. He selects the pizza places carefully so you really have a basis of comparison between the four different stops as the different styles and methods of making a great New York slice. After going on the tour, you will be more educated and have a greater appreciation for good pizza. However it isn't like it's a lecture the entire time; on the bus rides you have the right amount of down-time so it isn't like you're being burdened with information the entire time. And of course you're fed very well. By the end of the tour you'll be full of knowledge, really great food, and great memories. This pizza tour is great! Don't miss out on it!

A tasty slice of New York!

We loved the pizza tour. Scott is great - really enthusiastic and friendly and he makes the tour both fun & relaxed. The format of the tour is informal and you are free to ask whatever questions occur to you and to discuss a wide variety of topics so long as there is a link to pizza! It was a privilege to taste the different kinds of pizza and to visit out of the way authentic pizzerias which we would never have visited on our own. One thing though, don't go expecting to eat loads of pizza as you get a slice in each place so less than a full pizza per person. It was plenty for me but I think my husband could have eaten more!
