| If you are looking for something different while in New York City, I would highly recommend a walking pizza tour with Scott Wiener. The guy is passionate about his job and provides a historical look at the best slices in several areas of Manhattan.
You get to go to an authentic Italian cheese store to sample fresh mozzarella, then enjoy it on a pizza from Lombardi's, America's first pizzeria. Scott will explain the differences in crust and cooking times using coal-fired ovens versus conventional ovens - and even takes you behind the scenes at an oven manufacturer.
In between visits to pizzerias, you'll get a small gift bag with palate cleansers and a notepad, plus learn about the architecture and history in areas where you walk. Your taste different styles of pizza, and can make your own choice of what you consider to be the quintessential New York slice. Scott keeps it light and entertaining, so the time passes quickly.
The tour begins and ends within a block of a Subway terminal, so it is also convenient. |

| I was looking forward to this tour as an excuse to eat delicious pizza, and was incredibly and pleasantly surprised at the depth of knowledge our tourguide, Scott, brought to the table on all things pizza and NYC history related. And the pizza didn't disappoint, either :)
I recommend this tour to locals and tourists alike... anyone looking for a really authentic, uniquely NYC experience. |

| Every pizza lover should take this tour. In addition to the pizza tasting great at every stop, we learned so much about its history and the best ingredients and were able to get a behind-the-scenes look at some of the kitchens. Scott is a super tour guide, and I highly recommend his tours. |

| I took my boyfriend for surprise date on the Pizza Walk as an end of lazy summer days celebration. I couldn't have discovered a better treat! The tour guide, Scott, is infectiously enthusiastic and extremely personable. He took us through all the steps it takes to make a great pizza as well as the history and family tree of the great pizza places of New York. I've lived in New York most of my life and have even been to some of the pizzerias we stopped at, but on this tour I experienced them in a new way and gained an appreciation for pizza I never knew I could have. The tour also offers a unique entree into the vestiges of a classic New York as it takes you through shops passed down through five generations of New Yorkers. In neighborhoods we have visited innumerable times, Scott took us below the surface to see some real New York artifacts that we had no idea existed. As we finished our last slices, my boyfriend exclaimed, "I'm sad the tour is over!" And ever since then he hasn't missed an opportunity to rave about it to our friends. Can't recommend it highly enough. |

| New York City has been known for its amazing pizza since the dawn of pizza's existence in the United States (as it well should be since it was birthed in the very city) What I could not believe was why someone did not come up with this pizza tour idea sooner? However, I am glad Scott was the one who had this epiphany.
A tour that combines both a rich history of pizza, a great walk in downtown New York, and the taste of pizza, what more could you want in a day? I don't care if you lived in New York City all your life or you're just visiting for two days. Scott's Pizza Tours provide a more unconventional type of tour where everyone can learn and leave with their stomachs feeling satisfied. |

| Scott's tour was great, I would recommend it to anyone visiting New York City with an open afternoon (however if a family has small children I might be reluctant to do the walking tour, because the distance traveled is doable but substantial). I was expecting to just go to a couple of pizzerias and hopefully eat some good pizza, but I got much more than I expected. The history lessons and stop offs at a factory in which modern gas pizza ovens are made were great. Scott was very kind and open to any questions that the group had. Again, I would highly recommend this tour. |

| This was truly a wonderful activity. Scott was friendly and knowledgable, and took us to three unique pizza places. At first, we thought that we would just be visiting pizza places, but we actually got much, much more. We journeyed through pizza lore, taking in the sites and smells New York City had to offer. The atmosphere was fun, and Scott encouraged us to ask him questions and interact with our group. Make sure to come hungry, and bring sneakers and a bottle of water, as there is a lot of walking. We would definitely do this again! |
