Pizza Educational Tour
Mon, Mar 15  11:00 AM brucecaine Male 50-59 International Tourist(s) Group of Friends
If you're thinking you're getting a pizza buffet, this is not for you. If you want to be educated on the history of pizza in New York, this is it. It is obvious from the get go, Scott is extremely enthusiastic when it comes to pizza. He is well known in the establishments he takes you to. You get to sample slices based on different "pizza" criteria. You get to see coal fired ovens that bake pizza in 3 minutes. You get to see where ovens are made and repaired. You get to see a pizzeria where Spiderman was filmed (at least on our tour) You get to see where fresh mozerella cheese is made (samples too) You get a history lesson on the family tree of pizza. Plus more. Thanks Scott, well done!!

A Necessary Part of the Full NY Experience
Mon, Mar 15  11:00 AM Nino224 Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
Scott has put together a tour that is more than just about great pizza. It's about the history, economics, politics, immigration, and social factors that are the makeup of this country. No visit to NY is complete without this experience.

Best thing you can do while on your feet!

If you're considering touring Alcatraz island, you need to put that thought from your mind, fly to New York, and go on Scott's Pizza Tour! If you've never seen the Liberty Bell, immediately leave Philadelphia and drive north on I95 until you're on Scott's Pizza Tour! Scott is a wealth of interesting and arcane knowledge. This is what Jeopardy would be like if Alex Trebek gave you some great slices instead of money. And, I guess, if you paid him for them first. I think at one point Scott was simultaneously explaining hundred year-old brick oven technology and fighting off a bear. Scott's Pizza Tours cured my arthritis, too.

We had a really great time on this tour because we have an appreciation for expert knowledge and enthusiasm and Scott has both in spades. I admit I had never really thought beyond 'thin and crispy, or deep-dish?' but this has changed my thinking of pizza for the better forever. Best of all, we left the tour feeling happy and upbeat for the rest of the day just because we had so much fun.

Even though it rained the entire time we really never noticed it because Scott kept us enjoying every minute. Scott's knowledge of the history of pizza in NY and especially Little Italy give us a new insight of NY and we can't wait to go back to that area to take in more of the food and sights. Great job Scott!

Pizza Crazy Tour Guide - PERFECT for such a tour!

Will keep this short and sweet. Scott's Pizza Tours is a must go for any tourists and a DIE DIE MUST GO for a food/ pizza enthusiast. Scott himself did the tour for us and he was truly amazing. If there was a degree in Pizza History, he would be the professor.

Best tour ever. Scott is an awesome guy that genuinely loves pizza. I learned so much and ate some of the best pizza ever in my lifetime. There's so many elements with this tour that anyone will learn something. You'll see places you probably never would've seen before. I won't share any specifics so I don't ruin the surprises, but there's a historical side, a culinary side, a technological side, and of course the delicious pizza tasting side of the tour. Scott is a great guy. I would and have been recommending this tour to all my friends, family, coworkers, and anyone I see. Whether you are local or distant, you should check this tour out. Totally worth the money. And the restaurants love him, the chefs, the waiters, the staff. It is really cool to see and benefit from their interaction, which also speaks volumes about what a great guy Scott is.

Fun but needs some improvement

Scott definitely knows a lot about pizza and I enjoyed the tour overall. The only thing I would change is Scott brought us to a pizza/ restaurant equipment supply store and I thought that was kind of annoying. I really didn't care to see that and would have rather gone to another pizza joint...you go to 3 places in 3 hours and spend about 10 minutes in each place. The rest of the time is spent walking and stopping to listen to Scott talk about pizza history.
