This tour was great! It was an educational experience along with lots of fun and exceptional pizza. Our guide was Scott, and he was wonderful! This is his passion. He was so well versed, talked non-stop, really knew his subject matter and he was so considerate and friendly to everyone in our group and people along the route that he knew. He is a Woody Allen clone and someone should make a movie about him and his tour! Fun all around experience! |

I'd definitely go again. Where else can you eat at both the oldest pizza place and the most modern within the span of a few hours? Oh, and end up stopping off at a manufacturer of pizza ovens and a restaurant supply store where they sell them as well? :) |

Scott knows pizza better than any person I have ever met. His excitement is contagious and makes the tour truly memorable. You learn not only learn about the history of pizza, but also about the science of it! We did the Crosstown Pizza Walk and would recommend it to anyone. Even if you've lived in New York for years, there are things you will learn. Another pizza tour is already on our list for the next time were in NY. |

Our guide, Scott (but not "the" Scott) was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned a lot about pizza and had some great slices. |

Scott's Pizza Tour was so much fun--my 8-year old son and I can't recommend it enough. I was a little apprehensive bringing my son to an unknown group where there might only be adults. Thankfully, another 8-year old boy was there. They had a great time and my son learned so much about pizza. His word to describe the tour: "Awesome!" Scott is so fun and playful. His enthusiasm for pizza is contagious. I have a deeper appreciation for the really good pizzerias in our town. And my son can now analyze a slice of pizza (brick vs. deck oven, fresh vs. low-moisture mozzarella) and he loves doing so with every slice. I loved learning about the history of pizza and checking out the oldest pizza oven in town. Scott's Pizza Tour is an authentic experience that doesn't have the touristy staleness of group tours. And everyone is in a good mood because they're all eating pizza! What a great memory of New York! |

Wife and I had a great time. Tour guide very informative and entertaining. Came away with a much improved understanding of pizza backed up with tastings and detailed information. Totally recommended. The group we were in included teens and stroller kids, all were accommodated. |

Seriously - AMAZING!! Dragged my husband to this, and he even put it in his top 5 things we did during our week stay in NYC. He even put this tour above going to the Yankees game. That right there should tell you something. If you are going to NYC - or even live in NYC - take this tour. You won't regret it. |

First of all, for those of you that are complaining that it's too much talking...IT'S A TOUR! What do you want? A quiet, monotone tour guide? Seriously, it makes me think you're not a tour person and if you wanted to just eat pizza, then go eat pizza ON YOUR OWN!
Now for the review. This tour is very good. Scott should have his own Food Channel show, just going around the country, eating, reviewing and recommending pizza! I doubt anyone knows as much as him. He's personable, super nice and very knowledgeable. He accommodates everyone, including children.
The only "CON" I had was that middle pizza place (Pizza Box) should not be part of the tour. Yucky pizza!
We enjoyed ourselves immensely and you will too! |

Scott was one of the most entertaining and knowledgeable tour guides I have ever encountered. His enthusiasm for everything pizza was infectious. I came away from the tour wanting more.... More pizza, more recommendations for pizzerias, and more homemade pizza (incorporating some of what I learned). Unequivocally recommended for anyone that eats pizza (that means everyone... :-)). |
