Scott was amazing, smart, funny , informative , and sooo into pizza. My friend and I had a wonderful time and would highly encourage anybody to take this tour. I have been visiting NYNY every year for about 15 years and have been on many many many tours and this was by far one of the best. Great walking tour, excellent pizza tasting and a bundle of info we had no idea about and a diverse group of participants. Thank you Scott. I will be sending you a menu from our favorite place in T.O.

This walking tour was recommended to me by friends who took the same tour over the summer. Scott is quite motivated and obviously loves pizza. It's a fun and different way to spend a few hours in the city!

Scott knows EVERYTHING about pizza. My husband who THINKS he knows everything really enjoyed talking with Scott and learning much more. I enjoyed the "tour" around the area and all the pizza tasted great to me!

Scott is friendly, funny and fabulously knowledgeable about pizza. The whole experience was such a treat. I'm telling all my friends when they visit New York that they HAVE to go on Scott's tour! I'll definitely go again when I'm back in New York.

Unbound enthusiasm for pizza

I had a small group of ladies from Texas who thoroughly enjoyed the tour-the informative nature of it, the pizza itself, the walking aspect through the neighborhoods and Scott himself. My husband and I loved it as well-Scott's enthusiasm is contagious so much that I wont' be able to eat another piece of pizza without thinking about all the ingredients!

Scott is a human dynamo, and what he doesn't know about pizza simply isn't worth knowing. A most entertaining tour (and the pizza wasn't half bad either!) Highly recommended.

Loads of fun for tourists and locals alike!

Scott is incredibly knowledgeable in all things pizza. He demonstrated how to tell if a slice was made in a brick/coal-burning/electric oven as well as how to determine the moisture level of the cheese. He was able to answer every question and also has a great sense of humor. Incredibly, he knew a pizza restaurant in every participant's hometown - and some of them were international! This was my second time on this tour: first I went with friends and this time I brought my family. It was equally enjoyable both times. A great way to spend a few hours in the city!

This was a great tour that was enjoyed equally by myself and 16 year old daughter, We appreciated all the interesting info, and really loved walking in the neighborhoods, and learning about them as we walked, The PIZZA WAS GREAT. and it was fantastic that it was included in the price of the tour. Going to the associated pizza related business was great also because that is something we would normally just walk by and not even notice. Scott is an enthusiastic Pizza "Guru," who made it an enjoyable event .

A fascinating look at NYC with a true pizza geek

Scott is passionate about pizza and everything to do with it -- history, technology, ingredients, people and places. Who else have you ever seen with a laser food thermometer and copies of "Canadian Pizza" and "Pizza Marketing Quarterly" in his backpack? We took the walking tour on a day when temperatures reached 99 F in NYC, and Scott's enthusiasm and knowledge made us forget the heat wave. He has incredible knowledge about NYC's culinary gift to the world, and taught us the merits of slice vs. pie, the vertical hold test, and the fold technique. In fact he was working on a theory of how the New Yorker's habit of folding a slice reflected the structure of the Brooklyn Bridge ... crazy talk from anyone else, but a cool theory coming from this fun guy! Scott teaches you to enjoy all pizza and never become a snob about it. One caveat -- our tour ran 2 hours over the scheduled time -- but we would gladly have stayed around for another few hours! He's that good.
