| I was happily surprised and entertained by Scott's Pizza Tour last week. I didn't really know what to expect, but it turned out to be a great way to see the city and learn about it's history through pizza!
My only suggestions are that on the website it is indicated how much time is actually spent outdoors on the walking tour. I expected to be inside much more, and I was extremely underdressed for the cold weather. Also, I would have liked to have had at least one more piece of pizza!
Otherwise, Scott was friendly, energetic, and his passion for pizza definitely shows through! I really admire him for turning his love into his job in a creative, fun, and interactive way. Thanks for a fun day! |

| Yes we took this tour because we like pizza .....
I read some of the reviews before booking this tour and they all told how exciting it would be and what a pizza expert Scott is, so I took the chance and booked it.
This has to be one of the best decisions I have ever made....
Scott truly is a Pizza Connoisseur who would extol the virtues or faults of any pizza available in the New York or New Jersey area.
In fact he will even get into discussion about pizza over a much wider area ...cue the old New York Thin Crust versus the Chicago Deep Pan debate .....!!!!
Not only do you get to sample some amazing pizza you also get a tour of the history of pizza in New York and its impact throughout the USA and the world.
With his witty and humorous style of delivering the tour Scott will keep you entertained for the whole 3 hours.... and may even through in a few other snippets of history from New York through the ages...
After taking this tour we now have a greater respect for pizza and the right qualities to look for in the right pie. Having left the UK and overdosing on Domino's takeaway pizza it was a fantastic experience to taste the delights of a pie from Lombardi's and with the tour you get to avoid the queues !!!
True to his attempt to impart more than just taste tests we were also able to visit the cheese makers to actually see the fresh mozzarella being made that would later find its way onto the pizzas in the local area. Along with the opportunity to view a local workshop where pizza ovens are still made today....who says manuafacturing is dead in New York ....!
Although this was a great experience and one which we would certainly repeat I have to say that we were also a little disappointed .....
In that we only had time for the walking tour when after sampling its delights we were desperate to get on the bus tour aswell and sample some of those pizzas in the Borough's ...
If this review still doesnt help you decide then take a look at Scotts website or drop him a line.....
And if you still arnt sure i will leave you with a little teaser.....
There just might be a few surprise gifts along the way.....
Thanks Scott for an amazing time and the perfect start to our New York holiday !!!

| I went on the tour with my husband and 2 kids (13,15) and we all loved it. Scott is very knowledgable and passionate about pizza. We ate at 3 stops- all of them were excellent- and we learned a lot along the way. Scott is a great guide- he went out of his way to interact with and include all members of our group ( there were 12 of us). |

| My husband HATES tours, I hate walking. But we both enjoyed the tour, it's an awesome way to learn about a couple different sections of NYC. Since it was our first time there we got to experience different types of pizza with out blindly picking a place. Scott really loves his pizza and history of pizza, it really comes across. I'll never look at pizza the same way. |

| Scott is doing a great job on his tour. Although the topic is very specialised there are lots of information about Little Italy, history and of course Pizza. The places he chooses are excellent and he also gave us some looks behind the scenes.
Next time I will definitely try to be on the bus as well! |
