Great walk through the history of pizza making in America unique from other pizza tours. Scott kept the whole trip upbeat even though it was a rainy windy day. I now know more than I ever thought I could know about pizza!

Great way to discover New York pizza

We visited new York as a family - me my wife and three teenage sons and booked Scott's Pizza Tour from a link on a website. Scott was a terrific guide, full of authentic, authoratative pizza history and anecdotal stories about New York. We saw pizza being made, we learned about mozzarella cheese, we learned about pizza ovens, we saw pizza ovens being built, and of course we ate pizza! My sons all agreed it was a highlight of our week in New York. It involved a fair amount of walking, and we were lucky to have good weather. Strongly recommended. Barclay family, Worcester UK

Charming and unusual tour captures NYC's essence.

Scott's pizza tour is a delight. The three-hour walking tour never dragged and the frequent stops, and pizza sampling, kept the kids interested. The tour has it all--history, architecture, great pizza joints, odd facts about SoHo, Little Italy, and the Village. A little offbeat and totally charming. Can't recommend it highly enough. Next trip we'll book for the weekend bus tours to outlying boroughs.

The tour was very enjoyable. In reallity we mainly booked this tour for our two sons, but I have to admit, both my Wife & I got as much enjoyment out of it as the Boys. Scott is a very enthusiastic guide and he makes the tour fun whilst keeping it very informative. Once you have taken the tour, you will find youself becoming a "Pizza Critic", looking at the way your Pizza is presented and cooked. We highly recommend the tour as a must do, when visiting New York,

I took the tour with my wife and sons (10 & 13). We had a great time. Scott is clearly passionate about pizza and has done extensive research. The tour is very interesting, and the pizza was great. Highly recommended, and a great way to see New York.

This is a fun way to spend a couple of hours. Scott is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. You will learn more than you could ever imagine about the history of pizza in New York. We stopped for slices at three places. They were all very good although I am a deep dish guy so I cannot rate quality thin crust. Be hungry! The stop at Alleva cheese shop is great. The food there is incredible. You see many interesting sights along the way walking from Little Italy, to the Bowery to Greenwich Village. The former site of CGBG, the Bitter end and places involved in pizza history. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend this tour if you like pizza at all. It is about how pizza is different and why. Scott is very personable and funny. He was very organized and the tour went very well. You will learn about the history of pizza and also a little about the area where the walking tour is. It is a very easy walking tour, anyone can do it. The pizza that you get to try out is some of the best pizza you will ever have.
