Crosstown Pizza Walk

This tour totally changed the way I think about pizza! I won't even look at it the same way. (There's a difference. Once you take the tour, you will know what I mean.) Scott is a true artist when it comes to pizza and gets others to join him in his enthusiasm. We had such a great time. I smiled or laughed the whole time. If you leave New York without taking this tour, you have missed learning a large part of New York culture: what makes New York what it is. Great job Scott. Keep up the good work! And thanks again for making my husband's birthday a day to remember. He really treasures his "pizza tour" pepper shaker.

We enjoyed this tour enormously. It was a great introduction to New York. As vistors from the UK we felt like we had got under the surface a little and met some real New Yorkers all through learning about pizza! But above all we really liked Scott. You simply can't fake the kind of entusiasm he has for his subject. Thanks Scott.

The tour guide Scott was as phenominal as the pizza. He definitely made the whole trip worth while. The tour was very organized, informative, fun, and delicious. We walked, talked, and ate alot! We loved the pizza packet Scott gave us, especially the pizza journals-very thoughtful. Scott is very enthusiastic about Pizza and quite a historian on the subject as well. We were all very pleasantly impressed. He was kind, fun, knowlegable, and absolutely loves pizza. We haven't stopped talking about it since we came home and have been recommending it to everyone we know. If you know any one (adult or child) who does not like to walk alot or cannot walk alot, I would not recommend this tour. Otherwise...MANGI!!! Everything about it was fantastic!! Scotts enthusiasm for pizza, the history and how they are made along with his deep local knowledge and great way of putting it all across make this a tour not to be missed. We all had a great tour, it was great to hear about the neighbourhood, the way pizza had evolved in the area and the general history of the areas covered. He even seems to have all the bases covered on historic material which he was to be able to pull from his Tardis like bag- I am sure its bigger inside than out! Highly recommended!

Scott is an excellent host and tour guide-- so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He has a special way of making everyone feel like an old friend. We brought our 2 kids- ages 11 and 14 and they liked it too. A lot of knowledge was shared-- its not only about eating pizza; we also learned about cheese making and different types of ovens. Nice tour.

Although it rained the entire time, we had a blast! Scott's enthusiasm is contagious, and his love for teaching and learning makes him an ideal tour guide.

For foreign visitor Scott made it simple to understand what Pizza is all about. New York History, how Pizza is made and simple (but important) things that makes Pizza such an interesting. Recommend to everyone
