Even though it was raining, the walking tour was great. I brought 3 out-of-town family members and each of them had a blast. It's a great way to learn a little history, get some exercise, see a bit of the city, AND enjoy amazing pizza. I recommend this to ANYONE who has family, friends, or random visitors in town!!!

Just a fun tour to do. Went with my adult children and their spouses. Scott has lots of enthusiasm and really knows pizza. He is a wealth of knowledge about pizza. He'll answer any and all questions about pizza. I highly recommend this tour if you want a fun family activity. Ideal for all ages of children though there is a fair amount of walking.

Fascinating look at pizza history

As soon as I heard about the tour I signed up because my husband is a pizza nut, his birthday was coming up, and I wanted to surpise him. From the moment Scott began the tour, we were hooked. His passion for pizza, his large personality and extreme knowledge of the subject made for a wonderful day spent walking, talking and eating. My husband and I are pumped to buy a pizza stone and try our hand at making it. We had so much fun and recommend this tour to anyone who loves pizza, history and having a good time.

3 1/2 of the best hours you'll spend in NEW YORK

What a time! My wife and I have had our eyes on Scott's Pizza Tours for over a year now and finally had the chance to do it. We brought our folks and the four of us thoroughly loved the experience. So much more than a few slices of the most iconic pizza pie in New York! History of all kinds from neighborhoods, early pizza beginnings, ingredients, equipment, and more. Scott's passion and knowledge is so sincere, interesting, and energetic, that you will have a smile on your face the whole time! From a casual pizza eater to a restaurantuer , you will be engaged and entertained the whole time! This is a "must tour" for tourists and New Yorkers a like! Keep it up Scott- we will take one of your other tours when we are on the East Coast again, for sure! Thank you- The Ross Family

A fascinating tour and a great way to see the city

The whole tour was fantastic. What I liked even more than the delicious pizza we ate, was Scott's enthusiasm for the subject. He managed to enthrall a group of 24 for the full three hours and even had a group of about 8 of us stay for more after the tour's end while he entertained us with stories of his pizza box collection! Although obviously a commercial venture, Scott manages to make his tour seem somehow uncommercial, entering New York's only pizza oven manufacturers by the back door; taking us through the side entrance of an old Italian Deli to taste their freshly made unsalted mozzarella; his banta with New York's pizza making finest! A great tour well worth the money.

Scott was engaging, funny, knowledgeable, and an absolute joy to follow around New York. Since we had visited New York City several times before, my wife and I were looking for unique and different things to do on this trip. Scott's Pizza Tour fit this bill perfectly. We would definitely recommend it to others and will likely do it again the next time we visit. JM

Love the tour, it was interesting and I learned a lot about the history and core elements of pizza. My favorite was definitely Lombardi's, I prefer the authentic southern Italy version over the new york style. I have already recommended the tour to friends. Thank you!!

We had Scott as our guide and he was great. He is very enthusiastic about pizza which is infectious. It's amazing the amount of history which is available about pizza and trying the different pizzas in the different places was really good. I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys eating pizza as it will change the way you think about pizza and make you enjoy it a lot more.
