This tour was really enjoyable. Scott may well be the best tour guide we have ever had. He is informative and funny and makes the tour simply great. Just go. There is zero chance you will not love it.

Taste pizza from Lombardi's, Joe's, and John's...and get one heck of an education on all things pizza. Even though I had already been to two of the three stops on this 3-hour walking tour, I was still stoked about it. First of all, it's always great to find something cool to do in the city that my kids (one picky pre-teen and one nearly impossible-to-please teen) won't complain about...and, this was definitely one of those things. And second, it filled in a lot of gaps in my pizza knowledge...I knew what I liked before Scott educated me (I would definitely label myself a pizza snob), but now I know exactly why making the odds much greater that I will find it more often (and am an even bigger snob). You can fan him on Facebook to stay up on NYC pizza - and pizza around the U.S. as well. This guy knows everything about pizza and his enthusiasm (yes, a bit nerdy...and I say that lovingly!) are totally contagious. We spent our next five days in search of NYC pizza to top our #1 favorite (Lombardi's)...we came close at Three of Cups, which shot to #2 in our family competition.

Scott gives a great overview of the history of New York style pizza. Included in the tour is a stop at where the mozzarella comes from and a pizza oven factory. Scott is very well versed in the history of the pizzerias and has many entertaining stories. He is also extremely knowledgeable about other foods in the city. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water and and good appetite!

This pizza tour is absolutely top notch. I brought a friend who was visiting from out-of-town (a pizza/ninja turtle afficianado) and we had an absolute blast. Scott's knowledge of pizza is astounding, and his enthusiasm is absolutely infectious. The tour covers a bunch of different aspects of pizza-making/eating, which is really nice... it's not just about downing 3 delicious slices!

Not only was the company (Scott) so very entertaining, but the pizza.... AWESOME! Loved visiting the deli where the mozzarella is made and will go back to the restaurant supply store. I could have spent hours just in that store. What a fun afternoon, even though we are local we learned many interesting facts about the city and pizza of course. Would do it again anytime!

The tour was interesting and the non-pizza places were interesting and unique. Two of the pizza places were really good, the middle one was just ok. There was more walking than anticipated.

It was so much more than three slices of pizza. My daughter has lived in NYC for 14 years and she learned things about the city she didn't know. The history of the area was as interesting as any tour I've taken. The guide was fun and it was great exercise.

A lovely walk through lower Manhattan with a very personable tour guide. Scott displays genuine excitement for New York City pizza along with well-rounded knowledge of it's historical and modern backgrounds. Opportunities for questions and inquiries were always encouraged throughout the tour and often met with immediate answers. The tour not only takes you to great pizza places, but some behind the scenes areas as well. You are able to experience the kitchen of a pizza restaurant, as well as admiring lovely pizza ovens for sale, a sneak peak of how they're made, and the best place pizza snags it's mozzarella. I've been on the tour twice. I loved it so much the first time, I knew I had to take my dad for father's day the next. It's a great and unique gift idea as well as a delectable experience for your taste buds. Have fun!
