Friends recommended that we try Scott's Pizza Tour while visiting New York and I'm so glad that we did! Joanne, our tour guide was not only very knowledgable about the history of the area (and pizza, of course), she was very entertaining! I am now inspired to try making Lombardo's pizza, which I felt was the best of the three pizzas. I felt three slices of pizza was plenty for me but if you are still hungry after the tour, a trip to Rocco's for a delicious pastry should fill you up nicely. I would definitely recommend Scott's Pizza Tour!

We did enjoy the tour but were disappointed it wasn't given by Scott. That was one of the main reasons we had booked it. However it was a good group and the tour guide was knowledgable. Three nice slices of Pizza and there was extra for some people so no one went hungry.

My husband and i have lived in New York for years and travel here regularly. We thought we had seen it all, but this was a fresh, new look at the city. Informative, funny, thoughtful, and delicious, we recommend this tour to inveterate new yorkers and visitors alike. you will learn so much about immigrant history, the making of pizza, and a wide array of tidbits that you never knew you would find so interesting. Scott is delightful and his tour well worth a try. Thank you Scott for this fresh and tasty take on a city we love.

Fun, Informative -- Plus, Hey, Three Slices!

There is no reason why anyone should trust someone who does NOT want three slices and a well-rounded education on New York City -- and, indeed, all -- pizza: culinary, historic and cultural, the noble triumvirate. That alone is worth the price of admission but Scott's unbound enthusiasm for and encyclopedic knowledge of the World of Pizza is contagious and really puts it over the top. OK, so he comes across like he's jacked up on caffeine and happy pills but life and NYC would be worthless without passion and Scott is utterly incapable of hiding his passion: bravo.

What a great experience. Scott is extremely well-versed in all things pizza and his enthusiasm makes everyone in the tour that much more excited about it. I would recommend this tour to anyone in the world who loves, likes or even hates pizza.

My sister and I were looking forward to the pizza tour, and we were NOT disappointed. Scott is passionate, considerate, informed, and has a real zest for pizza/food/life - wherever we went, everyone stopped and listened to him, he is very infectious. This was a wonderful way to spend a beautiful sunny day in Manhattan. Lots of information, great food, and laughs. Scott really knows his stuff and loves to share it. We enjoyed walking through the different neighborhoods and learning more about them. Super fantastic day! Thanks, Tracy and Karoline from Calgary

I would recommend the tour to anyone except a family with small children as there is quite a bit of walking involved. I enjoyed hearing about the history of pizza and getting to go behind the scenes at some restaurants and even the shop where the pizza ovens are made. Our guide was very personable and knowledgeable and made us laugh a lot. Now I know which places to go to for pizza when I return to New York in the future!
