The tour guide Scott was as phenominal as the pizza. He definitely made the whole trip worth while. The tour was very organized, informative, fun, and delicious. We walked, talked, and ate alot! We loved the pizza packet Scott gave us, especially the pizza journals-very thoughtful. Scott is very enthusiastic about Pizza and quite a historian on the subject as well. We were all very pleasantly impressed. He was kind, fun, knowlegable, and absolutely loves pizza. We haven't stopped talking about it since we came home and have been recommending it to everyone we know.
If you know any one (adult or child) who does not like to walk alot or cannot walk alot, I would not recommend this tour. Otherwise...MANGI!!!
Everything about it was fantastic!!

I treated my son, a pizza fanatic, to this tour and while I knew he'd enjoy it, I had no idea how much I'd enjoy it, too. Great eats, fascinating history - all led with a passion and purpose rarely seen. Scott's enthusiasm is contagious and made for a very pleasant 3 hours on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. |

My 12 year old son and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. I love people who have a passion for what they do and Scott is truly passionate about pizza, it's history and the culture that brought it to our country. For people that are easily distracted and need to be entertained with bright lights, loud music or wild stunts then of course this tour is not for you. You need to be interested in history and the fact that in early New York there were many different nationalities that brought their own unique culture to the city. Scott paints a beautiful picture of the first Italian Immigrants that settled in Little Italy and the purity of their Pizza. The Pizza you get to eat is not bad either. I loved it!!!!! |

We never knew someone could be so passionate about pizza!! We learnt so much and it wasn't just about eating pizza.
The pizza was delicious so much so, we went back to one of the pizzerias on our own for a whole pizza! |

Scotts enthusiasm for pizza, the history and how they are made along with his deep local knowledge and great way of putting it all across make this a tour not to be missed.
We all had a great tour, it was great to hear about the neighbourhood, the way pizza had evolved in the area and the general history of the areas covered.
He even seems to have all the bases covered on historic material which he was to be able to pull from his Tardis like bag- I am sure its bigger inside than out!
Highly recommended! |

Scott's tour was terrific! The guy is absolutely bonkers over pizza but in a super way. He has researched the subject like an archeologist. He knows the back roads of the village and Little Italy and is most knowledgeable about the various ethnic populations in the neighborhood.
I grew up in NY and went to college there as well. Now live on the west coast. Even for a native this was an super 2-3 hour tour. |

Scott's tour was very interesting, shedding new light on a "fast food" that we often eat without thinking. Scott's enthusiasm about the topic transferred well to those on the tour, making the experience very enjoyable. I'd highly recommend this to anyone interested in pizza or in New York's long food history. |

Scott is a very enthusiastic connoisseur of all things pizza. It is apparent that he has studied well all the different elements of pizza, what goes into making a pie, and how to enjoy it by deconstructing the very being of pizza itself.
For a three hour tour it left me hungry for more - information and pizza. I actually went out to a pizza restaurant that same day to put some of my new found pizza skills to test.
I actually wouldn't mind paying a bit more money to taste test a few more pizza places with Scott's tour group. |
