This was a GREAT tour! Scott MAKES it!! It was funny, entertaining AND an education in pizza!!! I went back to 2 of the 3 pizza places and took three people with me - they loved it too. My US friend is just a little bit concerned......because I have mentioned Scott at least once a day since the tour!!!!!!! LOL

Tough to imagine this tour being so good without the unbridled enthusiasm and knowledge of host Scott. Whilst the pizza sampling was osum (especially Lombardi's), he just made the event so worthwhile by introducing the classic Italian Deli, the oven factory etc etc. He is a bit of a legend.

All I can say is, if you are a fan of Pizza and want to know anything and everything about pizza, then this tour is for you. Scott is very enthousiastic about Pizza but I didn't find it infectious unfortunately. The Tour started great and we had a sit down pizza, saw inside the coal oven and it was a very good slice of pizza. We then went for quite a walk and ended up at a wholesalers for bread making machines, pizza utensils, etc which we thought was a bit odd, but as it was a pizza tour, maybe not? We then visited two other pizza places but just ate outside in the square or on the pavement (not sure what would have happened if the weather was poor). From the second place to the third place we had about a 15 minute max. space inbetween eating our pizza. It was a bit rushed in the end but we couldn't wait to get away.... We thought it would be a bit about pizza, information on the areas and a tour of some really interesting facts. It was all about pizza and a very long winded 3 hours. I would only recommend if you are "really" into pizza. Sorry!

The pizza tour was filled with fun as well as delicious pizza! I was actually very impressed by Scott's profound love for it and how much more there is to it than we actually would've imagined. We got to go behind the scenes and look at how the oven works and how it is made.

You should absolutely take this tour! We covered a good amount of Little Italy and part of Greenwich Village as we visited 3 pizza places and a great restaurant supply company. Scott is so passionate about pizza, and makes sure that you get lots of history, great food and tons of fun! He is knowledgable and professional, outgoing and all around perfect for this job- that probably explains why everyone who knows him along the walking route has to say hi or ask how he's been. We will take this tour again the next time we are in town, it was educational and fun- you will be surprised to see how much "pizza science" there is to the process! Not to mention the pizza was fabulous!!!

Fun ....... pizza 101

I enjoyed it....however, I feel that the first stop for pizza should be sooner than it was. Everyone was extremely hungry and walking for almost an hour and a half. before the first slice. I think the walk could be shortened to 2 hours or even better....add another pizza stop. Scott was very extemely informative and fun.
