Bus Tour on March 21,2010
Sat, Mar 20, 10   11:00 AM fdbray Male 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
My wife and I went on a bus tour with Scott this past Sunday. We visited 4 pizzerias and it was a great time. One in Manhattan, One in Harlem and two in Brooklyn. We dont think we could rate this tour any more highly. We originally signed up for the walking tour on Saturday, March 20 as there was not a bus tour offered on Sunday when we first signed up. When Scott decided to do a bus tour on March 21, he was very accommadating. We thought is was a good value...awesome pizza..and very entertaining... THANKS SCOTT!!

A tour and lunch rolled into one.

This tour was recommended by friends who told us it was a "must do" activity when in New York. They were not wrong! We were blown away by Scotts enthusiasm for, and extensive knowledge of, his subject! We felt that the tour was extremely good value for what was, in effect, a tour and lunch rolled into one. We took some friends who live in New York on the tour, and they also enjoyed finding out about the history of pizza in their city. The only down point is that now we have returned home to the UK., our local pizza just doesn't seem so exciting!

The tour was very informative

The tour guide did a great job. He was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The places that he picked were great choices. However, we felt that the tour could have been a little shorter. We had gone on the tour looking to find great pizza and we learned a lot about the history of pizza and the ovens. This was fine but we would have been fine just eating the pizza and hearing about the history as we were eating. But it was overall a great tour and we got to see parts of the city that we normally wouldn't of seen.

The Amazing Scott

This tour needs a higher star rating. My wife and I would have given it 6 stars rating if it was available. You know in college or high school when a teacher comes along that makes you fall in love with the subject based solely on the teacher's enthusiasm. That's Scott! Fun, Informative, and Engaging. Will take friends on the same tour next time we are in the City.

Pizza Educational Tour

If you're thinking you're getting a pizza buffet, this is not for you. If you want to be educated on the history of pizza in New York, this is it. It is obvious from the get go, Scott is extremely enthusiastic when it comes to pizza. He is well known in the establishments he takes you to. You get to sample slices based on different "pizza" criteria. You get to see coal fired ovens that bake pizza in 3 minutes. You get to see where ovens are made and repaired. You get to see a pizzeria where Spiderman was filmed (at least on our tour) You get to see where fresh mozerella cheese is made (samples too) You get a history lesson on the family tree of pizza. Plus more. Thanks Scott, well done!!

A Necessary Part of the Full NY Experience
Mon, Mar 15, 10   11:00 AM Nino224 Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
Scott has put together a tour that is more than just about great pizza. It's about the history, economics, politics, immigration, and social factors that are the makeup of this country. No visit to NY is complete without this experience.
