Even for Honeymoons

MY wife and I were in NY for our honeymoon and we found a few pizza tours online prior to arriving to NY. We wanted to do something that was more than just eating pizza. It was a ton of fun. We got to meet some new people and learn about one another while we enjoyed Scott's vast knoweledge about pizza, its origins, and the direction it has taken from Italy to us today. I plan on revisiting again with my wife and my inlaws in a couple of years and we will definetly be re-touring with Scott's Pizza tour. His enthusiasm alone makes the tour worth seeing. Thanks Scott for the great time my wife and I loved it. Cesar and Ashley

This was a great way to bond with my Dad and siblings. It definitely was the best Father's Day present we could have given to our dad. Scott was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We found ourselves smiling and laughing while satisfying our stomachs with delicious pizza! It gave us a take on pizza and the city that we've never experienced before in all the years we've been taking trips to NYC. Although our tour was months ago, I continue to strongly recommend this tour to friends and family.

Scott's passion for pizza, history and New York is contagious. We had a great tour of the Village and we ate some great pizza. I recommend the tour for people who like pizza and like to walk.

Fun and interesting, but long and a little slow.

Let me start off by saying that Scott was simply amazing and his passion for pizza was almost... inspiring! I learned a lot about pizza, its history, and how they're made. The slices we sampled from the three shops on the walking tour were almost too big and no one left hungry! I went with a couple of friends and we had a great time as a group. Although my friends were raving about how great the tour was, I found it to be a one-time experience. No desire to do it again. Would I recommend it to someone else? Yes, but not enthusiastically and with many disclaimers. The time we spent talking about pizza was probably only 30% of the tour. The rest was walking - which I liked - but 3 hours was time consuming for a tourist in NYC! Definitely not for kids (or adults) with short attention spans. :) You may want to consider Googling pizza in Manhattan and going on your own tour to save time.

Scott's Pizza Tour is the BEST tour we have been on as a family. Our children really enjoyed eating the pizza and especially learning about the history of pizza! We would highly recommend this tour to any family!

I went on the walking tour last weekend with my mom and we had a BLAST! Scott was highly informed and taught us tons about the history and art of pizza. We ate at three wonderful pizza places that were all delightful. I really want to go on another tour the next time I visit NYC.

We had so much fun on the PizzaTour! Scott is extremely entertaining and there is nothing he doesn't know about the history of the pizza, where to find the best pizza (practically all over the world!) and the various types of pizza!! I've never seen anyone so dedicated and passionate about the topic before - I'll never look at a pizzeria the same way again. We walked in a trendy part of the city, talked a lot about pizza and ate at 3 pizza joints. It was definitely something unique to do in the city - and well worth the money. A couple of things to keep in mind - this tour does not talk about the history of the city or the area. We got one or two tidbits, but it is primarily (as the name suggests) all about pizza for 3-hours. Have a snack before you go - you will eat big slices of pizza, but there is a lot of down-time between pizzerias. It was enough to fill us up at the end of the tour (we considered it lunch) but a snack right before the tour would have been a good call. In summary, if you like pizza definitely take this tour. Scott is extremely qualified and great at what he does.

Scott is quite a character, we've never met someone so enthusiastic about pizza and knowledgable about pizza. It was great that you get a slice at a couple really awesome pizzarias that you can normally only get one slice. Scott's knowledge of pizza and his methods that he teaches you is really fun. Now whenever I get a slice of pizza, I can figure out why it's good (or bad), what type of oven it's cooked in and feel like a real connoisseur. He's also really straight forward about what he does and doesn't know fact-wise, so that's nice that he's not just BSing you. We'd definately recommend this to anyone looking for some delicious pizza and a fun 3-or-so hours.
