The Life And Times Of Pizza
Mon, Sep 17, 12   11:00 AM RTMartin1 Male 20-29 Local Couple on a Date
Scott takes you back to the beginning of pizza and turns it into an awesome tour. You learn everything you ever wanted to know and get more info than you could ever imagine, but it never gets boring. We went to three pizza places, sampled a slice at each, got to see the behind-the-scenes action and more. By the end of the tour, we were able to look at a slice and identify in what type of oven it was made and what kind of tomato sauce and cheese were used. We had so much fun, we're already planning to take the tour again and bring friends.

A perfect way to see and taste a bit of New York.

Scott's knowledge and enthusiasm about all things pizza, made this 3 hour walk and talk, the highlight of my first ever trip to NYC. The pies were of course great, but the history and science behind the evolution of the world's greatest food made this tour so much more than just 'eating some pizza'. My wife and i will be taking another tour the next time we return to New York. Highly recommended.

Great way to eat New York Pizza
Sun, Sep 16, 12   11:00 AM alicekoskas Unspecified 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
This is the best deal to not only have several slices of pizza from all over New York City, but to see the city itself. It takes away the frustration on where to go and how to get there. Scott was enthusiastic and a bit obsessed with Pizza, which made it even more fun! I enjoyed the fact that we got to go from Harlem, which I would have never thought of going on my own to the Bronx and to typical Little Italy to taste and savior different slices of pizza. The bus ride was even a treat and kids would really enjoy this, it beats walking and the time goes by really fast. A must do for any tourist who is visiting New York. Would do it again.

Fun, Factual and Delicious!

We were looking for something special to do while visiting NYC. Combining pizza with a tour of areas in the city that we had not seen before was a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Scott was knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic and entertaining! The bus tour stopped at four restaurants, each offering a different style of pizza. There was plenty to eat and it was all delicious. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves pizza and its history.

I recommend this tour o anyone. We got the tour from Scott himself something I was not expecting, and it was a treat. You can tell he truly loves what he does and is incredibly knowledgeable.we also were 30 minutes late because of the subway an he graciously held the tour so we could catch up. I was alot of fun!

This was so much fun! Scott definitely knows his pizza! I thought I was a huge pizza fan, but I learned a lot on this tour and had some great pizza, also!! In addition, it was a very nice walk through parts of Little Italy and Greenwich Village. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, even if you only like pizza a little bit. Scott is so enthusiastic and obviously passionate about pizza and his pizza tours!

I attended Scott's Pizza Tour this past Saturday with a group of friends for a bachelorette party and we all had an amazing time! Scott is so fun and funny, and more knowledgeable than probably anyone on the planet when it comes to all things pizza related. Scott's energy, humor, and enthusiasm was infectious! Not to mention the fact that all the pizza was DELICIOUS! I immediately went home and told all my friends and family about it and I plan on taking the tour again with my boyfriend. I could not recommend this tour any more highly. Whether you're an out of towner looking for a fun activity or a local New Yorker who wants to expand their pizza horizons, this tour is for you!!!!!!

Had a great time on the tour. Scott knows a lot (almost too much lol) about Pizza. Loved the information that was provided about the various pizza places we went to, and the taste testing was a total bonus. Loved the tour, definately worth doing!!

Great Pizza, Great street (Bleeker) BUT....
Thu, Sep 6, 12   11:30 AM krisnewton Male 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Other
I expected older pizza establishments older than the 1970s in relation to explaining to us how Pizza immigrated on over into NYC. Moreover, Bleeker Street has alot of nice/great delis and Pizza places that IMO would rival Chelsea market but again I would visit Bleeker street again (for the pizza, red velvet cupcakes & the delis) but NOT thru this tour. The tour was very OVER-RATED, IMHO.

Even though Scott's Pizza Tour was highly recommended by my daughter and son-in-law, my four cousins and I did not know exactly what to expect. What we got was not only slices of excellent and diverse pizza, but also slices of pizza history. The walk through Greenwich was lovely, with Joann providing wonderful commentary. It's a must do for even the most casual of pizza enthusiasts.

Scott knows more about pizza than anyone I have ever known! He is interesting and funny and shares tons of tidbits about the history of pizza, how to make pizza, the different types of pizza, etc. And then you eat some very yummy pizza! Great way to spend a few hours.
