"The best way to spend the day in NY"
Sun, Jul 19  11:00 AM karenraven Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
We LOVED Scott and his pizza tour. He was funny, friendly and a fantastic tour guide. The locations he picked allowed us to see Little Italy, the Bronx, Queens and Harlem. My 3 teenage daughters and husband said this was their favorite day of sightseeing in New York and we were there for seven days! We would highly recommend it!

Scott is a very enthusiastic and knowledgable tour guide. I had a great time learning about the history of pizza as well as truly paying attention to the distinct tastes, textures and flavors of the various types of pizza. As a native Manhattanite, I had a great time exploring the pizza in the outer boroughs as well as areas I rarely venture into in Manhattan (Harlem). I would recommend this tour to both locals and tourists. It was a fun and different way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Worth doing but needs tweaking

We were really excited to go on this tour and Scott was brilliant. However, the tour needs to include more pizza and be a bit shorter!!! It starts at 11am so we passed on breakfast in order to be able to indulge. It took four and half hours and we had ... four slices. Having spent $180 bucks, it was a bit annoying to feel the need to go and spend a further $100 at a diner afterwards to fill the hole in our stomachs. Scott - all you need to do is finish with two slices and a complimentary glass of wine, beer or lemonade, and people will be happy. Or, two slices to start with and to finish, with more options to buy drinks during the tour. Never had so much water and this is supposed to be a celebration of sorts. The rest is outstanding, the trivia quiz a definite, and the knowledge first rate.

not quite what I expected

I had the idea that i'd be visiting 13 pizzerias in 4 and a half hours in nyc stuffing my face with as much as pizza I could handle. Turns out its 4 pizzerias of 4 slices of the same pizza. Also didn't expect the tour but was quite nice especially the way it was almost told to an an exact science. Scott has had alot of experience with pizzas, he definitley knows what hes talking about but just be clear what your signing up for before you pay.

A fun and tasty way to kill a few hours in NYC

This is a fun tour led by Steve, who is clearly THE pizza aficionado. We enjoyed tasting pizza at four very distinctive restaurants and Steve guided us through our pizza tastings with skill, pointing out details about the ingredients and baking methods. Steve's enthusiasm and expertise added to the experience, for sure. I really enjoyed traveling to Brooklyn for two of the tastings because I had never been there on my NYC visits. This tour was enjoyable, and the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that by the last stop, I was truly pizza-ed out.

This pizza tour was awesome. Wasn't sure what to expect, but Scott was great. Very entertaining. Who knew you could learn so much about Pizza. Absolutely loved, loved, loved Lombardi's... YUM! I would highly recommend anyone who is visiting New York to take this tour. Not only do you get to see some of the classic, not so touristy, areas of NYC (SoHo, Little Italy, Village), but you get to eat pizza all along the way. What more could you ask for? --Linnette

i cant really add anything to what has already been said. the tour is amazing. scott really makes the tour, he's so passionate, knowledgeable and funny, i could have done the tour again and again. the tour was fantastic - best $30 we spent. the only question i did have was how does scott remain so thin when he loves pizza that much?

The tour was a great trek through the Village eating the best pizza along the way. Lots of other very cool surprises as well.
