I had an excellent time on my tour. The guide was very knowledgable and charmingly passionate about the subject. I thought the choices of pizzerias was very nice, and they were each different and special in their own way. I would recommend this for any pizza lover!

The tour was absolutely wonderful, and all the positive reviews online are 100% right. Scott is an excellent guide, very friendly, inclusive and knowledgeable about all things pizza. We never knew we'd be so excited about the history and method of pizza making, but his enthusiasm is infectious. With everything taken care of in advancd (slices included!), it's easy to get carried along on the ride.

Enthusiastic guide with tons of knowledge!

Scott knows so much about pizza, how it came to New York, how its made, why its made that way and provides all this information with a fun and silly demeanor. We learned so much and how to compare and contrast different types of pizza. The pizza itself was so delicious and though a little goofy Scott was a great guide. I absolutely recommend this tour!

New York City Highlight

The worst thing you can do in New York City is to bypass this tour. On our trip to New York we did all of the cultural things: Museums, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, etc. I learned more from Scott's tour than all of them combined. Seriously. Scott actually cares about his customers and makes you feel like an old friend. I would give more details but I don't want to spoil it for you. Although we were all over 21, there were all ages on our tour. Believe it or not, he was able to get a couple of jaded teens excited about pizza history. As a middle school teacher, I'm quite impressed with that feat alone.

Only go if you absolutely LOVE pizza
Mon, Jan 2, 12   11:00 AM mezzomix Male 20-29 International Tourist(s) Family With Children
If you LOVE pizza and knowing about pizza... Then this tour is for you - we expected a different variety of slices and not just the cheese since this wasn't a "vegetarian tour". We were told we'd visit little Italy but were told that there was "nothing there". It was OK, and took longer than expected, not sure why. Scott is great, and loves his pizza so hats off to him, but this tour is more for those who really want to know more about history and pizza ovens. 3/5

Scott is passionate about all things pizza!!

I read great things about this review and booked it three months in advance. It was our last day in NYC and I was tired of the touring and almost dropped this tour. I am so glad I did not. Scott is fun and has all kinds of information in various topics regardning pizza. He is great with kids (even those that are a bit out of control - we had a couple on our tour unfortunately) he is fun and very interesting. My husband and my kids (age 9 and 6) loved this tour and it was freezing cold and they never complained. If you have time, do the tour. He was a lot of fun! His level of enthusiam makes a topic that is not all that interesting, very interesting. Hard to believe but you will not be disappointed. Thanks Scott.

The tour I was on was lead by Scott himself, and boy does he love pizza. The amount of detail he knows about pizza places (domestically and internationally), the history of pizza, and New York in general is mind blowing! His passion for pizza definitely resonates to the group. However, be forewarned, if you take this tour you will find out what a good slice of pizza tastes like, leaving you baffled how big pizza chains can call what they serve pizza. (And no, I'm not talking about the traditional New York slice, though you will have one) If you're even slightly considering this, DO IT! You won't regret it!

Well-informed, high energy, enthusiastic guide. Learned a lot. Enjoyed sampling different types of pizza. Unique experience in NYC. My 8 year old son had a good time. Not too much walking. Would recommend. Well-priced.
