Scott is passionate about pizza. But be forewarned: His passion is infectious! What a great way to spend time with family and friends. I couldn't recommend his tour more highly.

Scott's Enthusiasm Matched Only by His Knowledge

After doing pizza tours for a year, Scott's energy and enthusiasm remain at incredible levels. I've never met anyone who loves pizza quite as much as Scott - and I love pizza quite a bit! His knowledge is unsurpassed - even a reasonably seasoned pizza vet (and local) like myself learned many things on this tour. One highlight: getting to see the Bari pizza oven factory. Who knew they still made heavy industrial equipment right here in Manhattan! Take the tour - you'll enjoy it, for sure.

Would've liked the tour to be 2 hr instead of 4.5

We went to two pizzerias in Manhattan and two in the Bronx, and the entire group that I was with wished we had just stayed in Manhattan. The tour was a little long. We all wished it was 2 hours rather than 4.5. The concept is good though!

Scott is a great tour guide and very personable. I loved the free samples and the goody bag, they added an unexpected touch. I did get tired after the first 2 hours of walking, but the prospect of pizza and Scott's enthusiasm kept the energy flowing. The tour wasn't just about pizza, it was very personal and connected well to the nyc community. I strongly recommend this tour, whether you're a pizza enthusiast or just appreciate food, it's worthwhile for both.

As a Philadelphian, I always get guff from my brother-in-law - a native New Yorker - about how NYC pizza is so much better than any from Philadelphia. I always wanted to verify this claim, but had no idea where to start. Then I saw the link for Scott's Pizza Tours on the sidebar on Facebook, and thought it was a great opportunity. And it truly was - even more than I expected. Scott is a teriffic tour guide, quite knowledgeable and very entertaining. We took the bus tour - the Bronx Tour, actually - it was the thin crust pizza theme. I am told that he rotates the pizza types and restaurants often. I can honestly say that this was some of the best pizza I ever had - and the tutoring on the style, methods and ingredients all brought more enjoyment and understanding to the tasting. We had a small group with us, and rode around in a yellow school bus - which relived the fun and adventure of those summer field trips back in middle school. And appropriately so, since this was a very family friendly event. You only get one slice a person at each stop, and there are only four stops - so it doesnt sound like much for the price. But believe me - and I can eat pizza - you dont need anymore than that by the end of the tour. Scott has this all down to a science. Is NYC pizza better than Philly? All I can tell you is now I 'get' NYC pizza, and it was great. I now have to turn my newly acquired skills onto targets closer to home. The jury is still out - but I plan to render a verdict after much deliberation, er...I mean digestion. Again, it was great fun, and highly recommended - I would go again. Thanks Scott! Tony from Philly

Scott's Pizza Tour - Cheesy Fun
Sat, Jun 27, 09   11:00 AM VWithington Female 30-39 Local Family With Children
Scott's tour had something for everyone - history, science, humor, exercise and eating! My husband and I were expecting a nice walk through the Village with a little history thrown in between pizza joints. We were surprised by how extensive Scott's knowledge is about every aspect of pizza - the history of pizza in NYC, the types of cheese and other ingredients, the cooking methods, even why NYC's excellent water quality may contribute to the City's reputation for great pizza. Not only is Scott knowledgeable, but he's friendly, personable and kind of funny too! The pizza's not bad either! Plus, we had our 3 year old with us and he was very accommodating and welcoming even though I wouldn't recommend doing it with young children as the places are small and the streets are narrow! Overall, a fun and informative tour and worth every penny! Bon appetito!

Totally unique experience, you can't beat Scott's knowledge and infectious enthusiasm for all things pizza. I've lived in NYC for 20 years and never enjoyed myself as a tourist in my own town so much as this bus tour. Don't miss it!
