Our group of 15 seniors from Long Island took this Pizza bus tour. Our tour guide Scott was enthusiastic, Charming, well versed in the history and trivia of Pizza making and eating.. We laughed, sang and ate pizza for 4.5 delightful hours. This is a outing for families, singles and the young or old. We highly recommend this delightful tour. Hop on the big yellow school bus and enjoy! Thank You Scott for a great day!!!!!

Scott led us on a magical jouney of pizza deliciousness. Not only was he a fantastic guide, but he created a family of pizza lovers on an adventure for a variety of the best pizza in Manhattan and the Bronx. This was actually my second tour thus far. I wanted to share it with more friends and they loved it! I highly reccomend this tour to anyone who likes or loves pizza. The slices fill you up and you'll never eat a slice the same way again!

We had a load of fun, and learned a lot on the way! There's so much to eat, so much to explore. I'm definitely not going to look at pizzas or pizzerias the same way again. Thanks Scott and Ronnie! Maybe we'll see you again soon- hopefully on The Food Network!

Belgians Love Pizza!

As a Pizza Tour Veteran, I was excited to bring my girlfriend and her best friend, who are both from Belgium, on the tour. It surely did not disappoint, and we visited some of my favorites (PATRICIA'S OF MORRIS PARK!!!) as well as some new joints. Scott as always was a funny and friendly tourguide. The information was just about as delicious as the pizza! We learned about the many different ways pizza is prepared and we got to sample pizza made using 3 different methods. We also learned a bit about the neighborhoods, which added something special to the tour. Also, the tour solves the mystery of which Ray's is the true original, which I'm sure appeals to New Yorkers who have been wondering the same thing. I'm looking forward to my next Scott's Pizza Tour already!

Scott definitely knows his pizza facts which really makes the tour interesting and exciting. His enthusiasm for pizza definitely shows through. I surprised my pizza loving boyfriend with this tour for his birthday, and Scott even prepared a special little treat for my boyfriend at Lombardi's pizzeria. Additionally, the spots Scott took us truly had fantastic pizza. He even took the time to teach us all how to analyze our pizza before eating it and had us compare the way in which the pizzas were prepared at the various locations. I will admit 55 dollars seems a little steep for four slices, but I can attest that you do get full after the third stop. If you or anyone else you know is a TRUE pizza fan....then this is definitely an experience you should try.

a real taste of new york

I took my boyfriend for surprise date on the Pizza Walk as an end of lazy summer days celebration. I couldn't have discovered a better treat! The tour guide, Scott, is infectiously enthusiastic and extremely personable. He took us through all the steps it takes to make a great pizza as well as the history and family tree of the great pizza places of New York. I've lived in New York most of my life and have even been to some of the pizzerias we stopped at, but on this tour I experienced them in a new way and gained an appreciation for pizza I never knew I could have. The tour also offers a unique entree into the vestiges of a classic New York as it takes you through shops passed down through five generations of New Yorkers. In neighborhoods we have visited innumerable times, Scott took us below the surface to see some real New York artifacts that we had no idea existed. As we finished our last slices, my boyfriend exclaimed, "I'm sad the tour is over!" And ever since then he hasn't missed an opportunity to rave about it to our friends. Can't recommend it highly enough.

This was a great way to spend a Sunday. Scott was so knowledgeable and really kept me engaged the entire time. Our group was a mix of locals and visitors to NY. We were able to witness someone's first bite of NY pizza- at Lombardi's. I never thought that I would cover some of the best Pizza in NY in 3 boroughs in one day! I highly reccomend this for tourists and locals alike!

Pizza will never be the same again

I will only say this once more, I'll never be able to eat regular pizza ever again. The pizza sampled have to be the best in the world. Scotts knowledge of pizza history, pizzeria history and New York history is incredible. I took this tour not expecting much but it was a choice I'm glad I made. The ride from place to place was fun with pizza trivia and pizza Q & A making the time pass really quick between pizza samples. What he knew about Arizona pizzerias was mind blowing alone. When I go back to New York I will definately go on the tour again.

A great learning experience for tourists & locals.

New York City has been known for its amazing pizza since the dawn of pizza's existence in the United States (as it well should be since it was birthed in the very city) What I could not believe was why someone did not come up with this pizza tour idea sooner? However, I am glad Scott was the one who had this epiphany. A tour that combines both a rich history of pizza, a great walk in downtown New York, and the taste of pizza, what more could you want in a day? I don't care if you lived in New York City all your life or you're just visiting for two days. Scott's Pizza Tours provide a more unconventional type of tour where everyone can learn and leave with their stomachs feeling satisfied.

Amazingly Fun

Scott's tour was great, I would recommend it to anyone visiting New York City with an open afternoon (however if a family has small children I might be reluctant to do the walking tour, because the distance traveled is doable but substantial). I was expecting to just go to a couple of pizzerias and hopefully eat some good pizza, but I got much more than I expected. The history lessons and stop offs at a factory in which modern gas pizza ovens are made were great. Scott was very kind and open to any questions that the group had. Again, I would highly recommend this tour.

Pie in the sky!

A group of us, some pizza fanatics and some pizza likers, heard about Scott's pizza tour and thought it would be a laugh to go check it out. We're from NYC/Jersey, so we figured we wouldn't learn much, but we'd get a ride to 4 good pizza places in one afternoon. Well, we did get a great bus ride, and some great pizza, but the best of all is that Scott really knows pizza and has worked out special arrangements with the pizza places so that we really got special treatment - whether it was viewing a coal fired brick oven or meeting the owners or just getting whisked to our table for an immediate pie (wow)! Scott was a great guide - very kind and knowledgable and fun. (He draws excellent pizza diagrams!) I would recommend this tour to locals and visitors alike. My friends and I all want to go again!
