OUTSTANDING and INFORMATIVE

One of the best things I did on my recent trip to New York City. The tour was full of interesting insights about the history of pizza and where it all started. A trip to Little Italy to one of the oldest authentic Italian delis for a mozzarella tasting, a walking tour of Greenwich Village/Soho, and a visit to three(3) great pizzerias to taste the best pies in New York..........................HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Scott (tour guide) has put together a wonderful tour to portray the art and history of New York pizza, with yummy slices along the way. As a frequenter of NYC, I was looking for something fun and new to do for this trip. We had an excellent time and have already used the knowledge we gained on the tour to create our own rendition of the New York style pizza! We look forward to future visits to NYC so we can taste-test at more unique pizzerias on one of Scott's Pizza Tours.

Best Guided Tour I've Ever Been On!

This was an amazing tour...great way to spend a rainy day in NY. Not only did we get to go to four excellent pizzarias, but it was also really informative. Scott knows his facts about pizza, pizza making, and pizza history. Plus the tour was upbeat and hilarious. I was laughing the whole time, in between bites. Great food, awesome tourguide, and it was really fun to ride on a yellow school bus again...it felt like being transported back to some alternate heavenly childhood, where instead of being shuttled to school you were being shuttled to pizza place after pizza place. I recommend this tour to anyone interested in food and having a good time, money well spent.

We had a really good couple of hours with Scott going through a number of places connected to the story of NYC pizza - not only is he an enthusiastic guide, Scott has clearly thought this tour through very well as you dont just go to pizzerias but also other places of interest - pizza oven manufacturers, fresh mozzarella suppliers. We really feel that this tour was great value for money and have, since then, changed the way we eat pizza :) Thanks Scott!!

I was happily surprised and entertained by Scott's Pizza Tour last week. I didn't really know what to expect, but it turned out to be a great way to see the city and learn about it's history through pizza! My only suggestions are that on the website it is indicated how much time is actually spent outdoors on the walking tour. I expected to be inside much more, and I was extremely underdressed for the cold weather. Also, I would have liked to have had at least one more piece of pizza! Otherwise, Scott was friendly, energetic, and his passion for pizza definitely shows through! I really admire him for turning his love into his job in a creative, fun, and interactive way. Thanks for a fun day!

When planning our trip to NYC - I asked my teenage son if he had any special requests or "must sees." Beyond Miss Liberty and Ellis Island - his only request was to try some "New York pizza" -(we're from Minnesota.) This fit the bill perfectly! Little did we know there is so much to know. Scott filled 4.5 hours with lots of fun and was extremely flexible. We all had a great time.

We loved this tour. We had been to New York several times, but this was our first time on Scotts Pizza Tour and we loved it. Scott is very enthusiastic and knowledgable about Pizzas and anything related to Pizzas. We went on a bus tour around Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens and tasted some wonderful Pizzas. Highly recommended for anyone, especially if you enjoy your Pizza.

Amazing Experience......
Thu, Feb 12, 09   11:00 AM MagicBex Male 30-39 International Tourist(s) Other
Yes we took this tour because we like pizza ..... I read some of the reviews before booking this tour and they all told how exciting it would be and what a pizza expert Scott is, so I took the chance and booked it. This has to be one of the best decisions I have ever made.... Scott truly is a Pizza Connoisseur who would extol the virtues or faults of any pizza available in the New York or New Jersey area. In fact he will even get into discussion about pizza over a much wider area ...cue the old New York Thin Crust versus the Chicago Deep Pan debate .....!!!! Not only do you get to sample some amazing pizza you also get a tour of the history of pizza in New York and its impact throughout the USA and the world. With his witty and humorous style of delivering the tour Scott will keep you entertained for the whole 3 hours.... and may even through in a few other snippets of history from New York through the ages... After taking this tour we now have a greater respect for pizza and the right qualities to look for in the right pie. Having left the UK and overdosing on Domino's takeaway pizza it was a fantastic experience to taste the delights of a pie from Lombardi's and with the tour you get to avoid the queues !!! True to his attempt to impart more than just taste tests we were also able to visit the cheese makers to actually see the fresh mozzarella being made that would later find its way onto the pizzas in the local area. Along with the opportunity to view a local workshop where pizza ovens are still made today....who says manuafacturing is dead in New York ....! Although this was a great experience and one which we would certainly repeat I have to say that we were also a little disappointed ..... In that we only had time for the walking tour when after sampling its delights we were desperate to get on the bus tour aswell and sample some of those pizzas in the Borough's ... If this review still doesnt help you decide then take a look at Scotts website or drop him a line..... And if you still arnt sure i will leave you with a little teaser..... There just might be a few surprise gifts along the way..... Thanks Scott for an amazing time and the perfect start to our New York holiday !!! Richard and Becks

I went on the tour with my husband and 2 kids (13,15) and we all loved it. Scott is very knowledgable and passionate about pizza. We ate at 3 stops- all of them were excellent- and we learned a lot along the way. Scott is a great guide- he went out of his way to interact with and include all members of our group ( there were 12 of us).

My husband HATES tours, I hate walking. But we both enjoyed the tour, it's an awesome way to learn about a couple different sections of NYC. Since it was our first time there we got to experience different types of pizza with out blindly picking a place. Scott really loves his pizza and history of pizza, it really comes across. I'll never look at pizza the same way.

I never thought the history and celebration of pizza was such an integral part of my enjoyment of the pie! My husband and I had a blast...Scott's personally and enthusiasm make this tour a great education on pizza, oven styles and the history of New York pizza development! I would highly recommend this tour!
